Yeah, that's a given.
Any guy that can bust runs before CJ was ‘the next Adrian Peterson’. Now any guy that can bust runs is ‘the next CJ’.

we have more developed weapons right now than SD. CJ (need I say more?), a WR core that while it isn’t great has been set for a few years by week 16 (without Jackson, the most developed receiver in SD is Gates), and arguably the best offensive line in the game. Defensively is where I see a problem. Run DMC had a decent game against us, I can only imagine if this unit hasn’t progressed to where they need to be what Charles will do to us.
