Final 53 man roster prediction

PrintI am doing mine a bit differently. I am dividing it by locks, players who should make the team, and bubble spots.
The following are locks to make the team:
QB - Young, Collins (2)
RB - Johnson, Hall, Ringer (3)
WR - Britt, Washington, Gage, Williams (4)
TE - Scaife, Cook, Stevens (3)
OL - Roos, Harris, Amano, Scott, Stewart, (5)
DL - Morgan, Brown, Jones, Hayes, Marks, Ford, (6)
LB - Tulloch, Curran, McGrath* (3)
DB - Finnegan, Griffin, Hope, McCourty, Verner, Fuller (6)
ST - Kern, Bironas, Amato (3)
So in my opinion, there are 35 locks, and 19 spots left (McGrath isn't included in the 53 man roster, but he will make the team).
I think the following should make the team, but are not locks:
RB - Blount (1)
WR - Mariani, Hawkins (2)
OL - Otto, Kropog (2)
DL - Haye, Babin (2)
LB - Witherspoon (1)
DB - Mouton, Johnson, Hill (3)
That is 11 more players. This means there are 8 "bubble spots" available. They will go to 8 of the following 23 players:
QB - R. Smith
RB - S. Gado, J. Collins, Pearman
WR - P. Williams, Edison
TE - Ryan, Pfahler
OL - Durand, Velasco, Matthews
DL - Ball, Bakhtiari, Brock, D. Howard
LB - Winborn, Trahan, Rivera, Allred, Keglar
DB - Schommer, Rolle, Nickey
I think the 8 will be Durand, Ball, Allred, Winborn, Keglar, Rivera, Rolle, Nickey. I think either Winborn, Rivera, or Keglar will be dropped when McGrath comes back.
I think Rusty doesn't make it and is sent to the PS, and we keep 2 active QB's. If something happens to Collins or Young, then we can either promoto Rusty, or sign Simms or another vet who knows our system (Ramsey?).

Hawk, Witherspoon and Mariani are all locks
Especially Witherspoon. He is the starter.

Mariani should make the team, and I would be very surprised if he is cut....
But no 7th round draft pick from a small school is a lock to make this team.
I agree that Witherspoon should start, and seems like a lock, I just can’t be sure about him because he hasn’t exactly wowed us in the preseason, and we don’t know a lot about his character.

A small school 7th rounders is a lock
when he has proven to be a trustworthy return man coming off a season where it can be argued that you were a return man away from a playoff berth.
(I don’t think that is true, but I could argue it.)

I think Jason Babin and LHawk are locks as well....
and i hope they keep Samkon Gado and Blount too…

Gado will be cut
Why put him on our roster for week 1 when that means we have to pay him for the entire year.
He isn’t a need. He is a 3rd RB at best who plays minimal special teams.
If we need him, we will resign him during week 2 or 3. It’s not like teams will be eager to snatch him up.

Witherspoon, Nickey, and Mouton are "locks"...
and Chris Simms didn’t get cut ( yet), but when he does, I hope we NEVER EVER have to call him to come back in. If he knows the system, then he’s worse than I thought.

Practice Squad:
LeGarrette Blount, Dominique Edison, Ryan Durand, Kevin Matthews, David Howard, Eric Bakhtiari, Myron Rolle, Schommer.
Looks like a lot of hard decisions are going to me made especially at Safety and D-End. Btw Mouton should be on your bubble spots because I wouldn’t be too surprised to see him get cut. Currently he is the 4th CB but with Fuller being the nickel-back it means he wont see the field in dime situations.
