Tennessee Titans Morning Links: You're Mine To Take Edition

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Lane Kiffin says that the only reason he's being sued is because of what happened at UT, and keeps reiterating that Jeff Fisher isn't mad at him. Of course, when asked about it, Jeff Fisher called all of those comments 'absurd'. That's coach speak for 'Lane Kiffin is a flaming douchecanoe'. Fisher still sounds pretty hot over how the whole thing went down, but he also sounds like he feels the Titans are better off without Pola after it's all said and done.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 How many lead singers sound the best they've ever sounded in their 60's? Well I can name one: Ozzy Osbourne. I'm not even a huge fan of his newer single Let Me Hear You Scream, but it's not  a bad song (as always with Ozzy, he's got a fire guitar player... this one is a newcomer named Gus G.), and definitely worth checking out to hear how good a sober Ozzy can sound after decades of mumbling.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 According to FO numbers (ESPN Insider article), the Titans' payroll is $119,741,100, which is 3rd in the division. They have the Colts spending $131,087,185, the Texans at $125,868,652 and the lowly Jags skimping by at $88,770,579. The Titans also have the least amount of dead money (money going to players who are no longer on the roster) at just $3,500.

Star-divide

Tennessee_titans_30x21 John Glennon got some brief comments from Mike Reinfeldt on the situations of Tulloch (expected to be in camp on time), Keith Bulluck (NYG were a 'better fit'), Kevin Mawae (doesn't have a spot here barring injury) and David Thornton (waiting for the final medical meeting).

Tennessee_titans_30x21 One more reminder that if you want single game tickets (prices range from $45 to $85) they go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m., and you'll need to get to the box office or a Ticketmaster outlet well before then. Getting the tix on line will be a complete crapshoot.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Big Albert is still fat, and still pissing off coaches... did he really think Shanahan wasn't going to ride him like a mule after all of the trash he talked in the offseason?

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Possible Titans starting CB Jason McCourty talks about the influence his older brother Larry White had on he and his twin brother (and Patriots first-rounder) Devin McCourty.

Have a great weekend!

a lovely word picture....

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." A. Bartlett Giamatti

No word on Derrick Morgan's contract situation yet?

I know we haven’t even started camp yet so I’m not concerned, but I hope the deal is done soon.

You will be missed, Keith Bulluck.

Heard Fisher on DanPatrick Show today

He seemed mad still. But I dont understand why he fired Byner in the 1st place.

BTW, Ozzy sucks. They can make anyone sound good these days…

Ozzy rocks.

I was disappointed when I found out that Zakk Wylde wouldn’t be on the latest album, but I’m eager to hear the licks by Gus. Haven’t gotten around to picking up the album, yet, though.

Have you read his bio? I got a signed copy of one – the Ozzman was at a Borders in Philly earlier this year. I was like #500 in line, but he stuck around and signed my books – all three of ’em. Helluva guy.

I know, maybe we should....

sick Ozzy Osbourne on Lane Kiffin. That would teach him to screw with our coaches!!

It took over

It took over three hours last year to sell out. The tough ones will be the Colts and the Steelers. I had a partner last year who went to LP field 30 minutes before they went on sale and got the tickets he wanted the San Diego game. Until the economy gets significantly better the thirty minute sell out days are gone. The great thing is the Titans sell out. The downer is if the game is in December a pretty good chance the fans will stay home. :(

You could have gotten into the Charger game for free if you had just shown up

There was nobody there. Especially after halftime.

DITTO!!!

You are right my friend could have also gotten the tickets below face value if he had bought them after the 0-6 start too. I did not go because it was Christmas Night. And by the number of fans who didn’t go that was the same thought too.

of course I after I said that

I heard on the radio today that Albert actually dropped 40 lbs. in a bid to stop the Redskins from being able to play him at NT. He wants to play DE in their 3-4 system…

Kiffin is a giant prick

Only being sued because the Titans reside in the state of Tennessee. That’s about as arrogant as it gets right there….

…as if anyone in the Titans organization gives TWO SHITS about the big orange college team down the road.

Kiffin needs to get over himself and focus on the Pac – 2. Shouldn’t he be busy buying new Hummers for his USC players?

Coach Fish..

Again telling the world Lane is a turd is not new news. This lawsuit is looking more like a PR stunt just to keep the story in the media.

FILE - In this Aug. 28, 2009, file photo, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart looks to throw against the Green Bay Packers during the third quarter of a preseason NFL football game.
