Best Passing Game Ever

I can't believe there's not a word of this article mentioned on this site!!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3897093

Warren Moon, the best QB in the franchise's history has one of his most impressive games declared the best passing game in NFL history!

Why the lack of love?  Are we the Ravens all of  sudden and simply didn't exist prior to the name change?  Or is the move the cut off date?  Or the announcement of the move?  Jeff Fisher's coaching debut?

This is why I lobby for folks to help me by sending links. Good stuff like this falls through the cracks sometimes because we’re all worried about contracts a shoving matches…

Not totally wrong

For many of us Tennessee folks, we are not very connected to the Houston-related past. I know that is probably a point of contention for some folks, but I readily admit that I became a fan when they came to Nashville. I have not intentionally ignored the past and I loved me some Warren Moon on Tecmo Bowl, but when I read something about him I do not think “He used to be on my favorite team.”

I’m an early bird and a night owl. So I’m wise and I have worms.

BOOM! You've been pharmacisted!

Rec'd

I didn’t follow the team until they became the Titans. That includes the few years in limbo out in the Liberty Bowl. Every time I heard or read about the team, my first reaction would be, “There’s no oil in Tennessee!”

oilers = titans.....simple

only difference is way better fans now…

That's the way

I see it and will always remember/charish the Oilers days, and I’m sure every Titans fan from the Houston area does as well. But I also reallze that the majority of Tennesse fans don’t. It’s not like you hear the Kansas City fans reflecting back on the good ole days of the Dallas Texans.

:)

I’m always just glad to see/read anything about Warren Moon. He was my favorite player growing up – and in Cowboy country (though Oklahoma), that wasn’t always easy. But it made collecting his cards easy. One good Emmitt Smith = 20+ Moons! Heh.

That Chiefs game was one that always stuck out for me… especially so because one of his cards detailed it. (I miss the fun of collecting cards – but don’t miss the pouring of $$ into it)

Have a slew of McNair rookies just before I got out of the hobby. (Wish I had some George)

A friend posted this on my fantasy league board for me:

From the Onion:
MINNEAPOLIS—In an effort to preserve the running back’s aggressive fumbling style, Vikings coach Brad Childress announced Monday that the training staff would not attempt to alter Adrian Peterson’s two-point technique for loosely carrying the football. “When you have a great natural fumbler like Adrian Peterson, you don’t want to mess with that,” Childress said. “That’s just raw talent right there. Nobody can expose the ball exactly the way he does. You can’t teach that.” Peterson has reportedly spent the off-season working with NFL veterans Warren Moon and Dave Krieg to improve his dropping mechanics.

So hey, good and bad, Moon is still remembered!

Ah yes...

the good ole run-n-shoot…I loved it…and, it was almost impossible to defend. Warren would throw to a spot (before the receiver made his cut) and the secondary was clueless. Also, having Ernest Givins, Drew Hill & Heywood Jeffries to throw to didn’t hurt. I used to watch it from the end zone of the Astrodome where you could really see how they made all their cuts….WOW….it was a thing of beauty to watch.

*is jealous*

my parents told me they took me to some Oilers games when I was like 2 or 3, but they quit once we became a hassle.
The Titans/Cowboys game will be my first non-preseason NFL game during my “able to remember” life. (party passes, baby!)
