What does the Titan nation think about going after Vincent Jackson?

What are some other quality wide receivers that the Titans could pick up to team up with Britt and Williams?

while i'd love jackson as a player

it’s coming down to the fact that we have him for 13 games even without injury time that may be necessary, he’s a grade A doucebag, and personally, i think williams and britt can be just good enough to take some pressure off of the running game which is going to be the clear focal point of the offense this year, and that’s all we need.

that every team is going to be focusing on our one and only star right now, chris johnson? we need someone who has already made a name for themselves in the league. we cant keep hoping to bring in these young guys and them immediately take the pressure off CJ.

Surf, we have plenty of other WRs to keep attention off of CJ.

Yes TO made a name for himself being behind the Man in the SF depth chart wishing he could one day TOO be like Jerry Rice. Then later on, he went to Philly and enjoyed starting PR controversy with McNabb. Then he went to Dallas, then Buffalo. Dallas released him at the perfect time, because that was the last year he had some talent to be a capable NFL WR. TO still wishes fans would look at him like they viewed J. Rice but it’s not going to happen. He needs to come out and retire from the NFL, go to the AFL, & PEOPLE stop talking about him. I really don’t give a &%*$ where Too Old goes. As long as its not one of our division opponents; he can join Favre for all I care.

Vincent Jackson is a great veteran player still; but he is not an elite WR. He is only on a great passing team and has received a lot of targets. Jackson’s best feature is his ability to go up and grab the ball in the air; but he lacks in overall speed & agility. Which we have & Britt & Williams. We also have Nate, which could be our long-time slot man. We have Lavelle Hawkins who needs to show some type of NFL ability. We need to get rid of Gage long-term, but I bet Fisher is hoping Gage breaks out this year to trade him. We also have Marc & a # of younger talented WR’s who will WORK HARDER than TO or Jackson.

WR is not the position i mentioned months ago that we needed improvement upon. This position will improve and be more in sync with our offense. I am anxious to see how talented Damian really is.

CB’s, LB’s, & DE’s are the positions that matter the most to our playoff chances.

i agree we've got some weapons that are just good enough to keep guys from constantly being on CJ

plus, the backfield is deep this year. javon was impressive in limited carries last year.

I don't really think the Titans should make a move for anyone

right now at least. I do believe that they should re-sign Kevin Mawae as a backup. Maybe even Kieth Bulluck, though as much as I want to believe he’ll still play at a high level after his ACL injury, I just don’t have high hopes.

They won't resign Mawae nor Bulluck for 2 reasons

Why Because first, owners don’t like the NFLPA, which my favorite center of all time is the current president.

& Second the Titans F.O. doesn’t like risks which include: Bulluck, Jackson, Haynesworth, T.O., Willie Anderson, Marcus McNeil, Flozell Adams, & anyone else still in F.A.

What we have now is what we are going to get; unless more injuries occur in camp.

I'd take TO for cheap...

but I wouldn’t go out of my way for either. VJ should be out of this league. 2 DUI’s gets you fired from most jobs. But in the NFL it’s just a few weeks off. I don’t get it. The NFL is full of thugs and steroid abusers, and that isn’t going to change until there is some kind of reform.

On another note, I’d want KB and Mawae. KB for sentimental reasons (as well as his ability if he can come back) and Mawae for solid depth.
