Tom Brandstater anyone???

just got word that the broncos just released tom brandstater. even though i already know the titans wont be jumping out of there seats to grab him up, how do the fans feel about possibly signing him. i know we have vy, chris simms, kerry collins, and rusty smith, but i really have some wishful thinking that they cut ties with kerry collins and chris simms. kerry is too expensive as a back up and there is just something about lefty's i just dont like. so maybe they will both be cut. i feel like we could have a solid qb roster with vy, brandstater, and smith. what are your thoughts. if you agree or disagree, please explain why. to be honest with you, the only reason i'm even bringing this up is the fact that we are in the most boring part of the football year, and we need something to talk about. while were talking about it, who are some other free agents still out there that you as the fans would like to see us pick up?

I don’t mind an expensive KC sticking around as a serviceable backup for another year, and he’s likely to retire soon anyway. Simms, I like to root for him, but meh, at this point he’s not going to amount to much. Coaches appear to be giddy about the prospects for Rusty, and I like all I’ve hear about him. Brandstater has talent, but is barely more advanced than a rookie, and I don’t seem finding a role with a chance to progress on the Titans.

I believe we need another backup QB, Collins worries me a bit now.

But I don’t think we should take Brandstater. Rusty is our project. Personally, I would love to see Marc Bulger come in and get a shot at the backup role. He’s injury prone but when given time has shown that he has the skill set to succeed.

If I could think of something witty, I'd put it here.

I really don't like fanposts like this

I hate the whole we should bring in somebody who was just cut aspect. If our team really does not do too much in terms of free agency, what makes you think that we would bring someone in who couldn’t even make the Bronco’s roster?

if you read my fanpost, you would see why i posted it.

i also said in the post that the titans organization would likely not make the move as i said that they were not jumping out of their seats after him. and i also stated why i posted it in the first place. this is a very boring time in the off season and it is something to talk about. people are entitled to their opinions and mine is that we should cut collins and possibly simms too and give brandstater a chance. but who am i? it was just a fanpost to create discussion. and the broncos qb depth is a lot deeper than ours here in tn. their fourth qb is better, imo, than our third and possibly second. i feel like we would be better with any one of the three qbs they have left backing up vy. i know tebow is unproven, but i still like his upside after a couple of years holding a notepad on the sideline. quinn, imo, is a good qb, just didn’t have a lot to work with in cleveland. and orton should even be debated as to whether or not he is an upgrade to any one of our qbs behind vy.

You think that Brandstater is better than anyone of our quarterbacks? I don’t see your logic, he has never thrown an NFL pass. How would he hold up against coverages in the NFL? Can he read the field, notice miss-matches, dump off to CJ????

Tebow will get placed ON IR

if he tries his running antics from college. This is the NFL. He had the best line, WRs, and D in college. It’s good for him that the Broncos have a good line. But I can’t wait to see him get smashed!

I wait for Collins to retire, Simms to be released. Rusty will be our #2 and draft the third & fourth next year with a Cornerback!
