Albert Haynesworth
Does anyone think were going to get big Al back at the Titans?? Is he worth the trouble to take him back? I loved him when he was here he did great things for the Titans and helped out everyone on defense when he was on the field, but he is a cry baby and causes a lot of drama, so what does everyone think, should the Titans take him back if they get the chance??

Hell no.
Our front office is looking smarter every day.
Official proponent of the unofficial campaign to nickname Derrick Morgan "Captain Morgan."
Ya every time he screws up I'm thankful we didn't keep him
I don’t want Haynesworth back. At this stage, its not worth the trouble. He’s talented as we all know, but we also all know that he can be unmotivated and a bit of a headcase. Its a tricky situation though, because if the Titans announced they acquired him tomorrow, I have to admit I’d be thinking about our defense making substantial strides this season.
If I could think of something witty, I'd put it here.

You guys need to wake up & smell the coffee.
It’s not even a question of if he could be the BEAST that he once was…..our FO is never gonna come up with cash that it would take to get him back….but it’s cool to dream I guess.

Oh, I'm fully awake.
Theologic summed it up best in the green highlighted comment below. Personally, I don’t really see it being about the money again for Al, unless he ends up forking some of that last big check back over. It could get to where it would be about money then, or if teams interested start trying to outbid one another. If he’s put up for trade, we’d be foolish not to try getting him back if it’s at a reasonable price. However, if he’s let go, unfortunately the Vikings may be his team of choice because they’re closer to a Super Bowl team than us or the Lions.
We were smart to let him go
But we’d be dumb not to take him back if he’s available for the right price.

HOF comment right there
Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.
"What if I was Peyton Manning?"- CJ to the ref after they picked up a personal foul flag for a late hit on him.
Also, as bad as all this makes him look
He’s not 100% wrong. Playing nose in a 3-4 would pretty much make him disappear. He could be great at it and noone would notice.
That was not the position he agreed to and he’s already gotten most of his money. Being traded to a 4-3 team is the best move for him. If he dominates again then people will forget all this.
if he comes back that would make morgan so much better
due to what hanyesworth brings so yes for the right price im all for it
REAL SOVIET DAMAGE!!!!!

i hope they dont get haynesworth back.
to be quite honest im disgusted with this franchise and the nfl as a whole. the stars in the game today make it so difficult to watch the sport when they are failing drug tests, getting into fights at strip clubs, and being accused of rape. for God’s sake your a celebrity, act like one and don’t put yourself in those kind of situations. and don’t even get me started on the hold out crap. i wish they would get this rookie salary crap under control where our veterans weren’t demanding so much money. this sport has become all about money. its no longer a game, but a business and that’s sad. i really don’t know what to say about the titans, they have players that are making mistakes just as much as the next team, and they are cutting players that they dont need to cut(kbull). they are also bringing in some players that make you scratch your head(jason babin, will witherspoon). honestly i get the feeling like the titans are goin to flop this upcoming year, and in a way i hope they do so they can start all over as a franchise. new players, coaches, front office, etc… all our problems would go away if bud adams just sold the titans to someone who cared about football. i have always liked the titans because they are in my home state, but never liked bud adams or the houston heritage we came from. maybe i’m ranting, but i am sick of the way the nfl has become, and also how the titans are conforming to it as well versus setting the standard for the nfl to go by.
whoa..
no offense, but you have problems dude

......
Everything that this sport has become is American culture, making sports into a “business”, over valuing athletes (especially male athletes), the pressure to succeed by cheating….the things is none of what goes on in sports today should be a shock…..

IF the FRONT OFFICE wanted to pay a player...
….An expensive contract, it better be Chris Johnson or Vincent Jackson.
If Albert wanted to still be a Titan; he should have stayed for less. He left for the money; so let him go to Detroit! Most say he only played hard that year for his contract.
I see where you're coming from.
I partly agree. I wouldn’t pay CJ right now, but if the front office DID decide to do his deal, I’d rather he get the money than Albert. Vincent Jackson is a RFA and would force the Titans to compensate the Chargers, so that would be extremely unlikely.

Quit having wet dreams over Vincent Jackson
Why would we need him? Your ( I think) the first person on this site to mention him, with all the money we could waste this year, I doubt we even sign Cj to a new deal.

Two things:
-I didn’t bring up Jackson, titanwarrior1 did.
-Vincent Jackson is a premier receiver, so while he won’t be coming to Tennessee anytime soon, there is no debate that he would be an upgrade over Gage and Washington.

you mean the FO could do something now to help us...
impossible….like someone else posted, "Our F.O. won’t come up with the dough/ bread/ cash for ANYONE else, not even Vincent Jackson….Since Hood will be cut from our roster or injured for awhile they might bring in some more D players for camp competition…

Its not as easy as going out and signing this Jackson
Not only would he demand a new hefty contract, but he’s a RFA and would demand compensation in return. At this point it would probably cost a first round pick to trade for him. You can’t just blame the front office on this one, because its not like the other teams are going crazy trying to trade for this guy either.

ugh
Why can’t they just release him and be done with it. Conditions, conditions
by titanwarrior1 on Jun 18, 2010 4:08 PM CDT up reply actions
He's one of their most talented players and their top WR. It would not make sense to release him yet.

Yesssssss....
Haynesworth even when he’s slacking is better than most DT’s in the league…..just look at the difference in our ypg w/him and w/o him….can’t replace franchise DT’s
