Tennessee Titans Morning Links: Best Case Scenario Edition

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Well, last night was one notch short of a best case scenario. I'd like to extend a hearty thank you to the Giants for not giving our front office a chance to screw this up by taking JPP. The only things that would have made our pick better was if we'd have been able to slide back a few spots and gather extra picks while still getting Morgan.  Still, we can rest easy knowing that, as best as can be determined today, we got the best player in the draft for our biggest positional need.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 No time for a Jam today.  I'll make it up to ya I promise.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 For those who don't remember, Morgan was our first prospect featured in the Boom, Bust or Bleh series, and he was one of the biggest winners with 61% saying he would be a boom.

Follow us through the jump for more on our newest Titan...

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Paul K is right: we were lucky that Morgan fell all the way to no. 16.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 David Climer is really missing that second round pick, saying that we could really usethe kind of player that will be available there.  In all honesty, even though he didn't contribute much last year for a variety of reasons, I'm still pumped about what Jared Cook will do in 2010.  If Cook hadn't come out last year and we took him with that pick this year we'd all be excited by it.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Well, if you're going to waste a first round pick, it's good to at least have 3,000 picks later on in the draft.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Seriously, the Lions might actually be a good team very soon.  At this point, there's a lot of pressure building on Jim Schwartz because, by all indications, the talent is now on the roster that they need to win.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Gil Brandt has a rundown of the best players left available when the draft starts-up again in roughly 11 hours.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 McShay ranked our pick as the 3rd best marriage of value and need, behind only Eric Berry to the Chiefs, and Earl Thomas to the Seahawks.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Ben Roethlisberger is being compelled to undergo psychological testing, mostly because he's a rapist.
