Tennessee Titans Morning Links: The Tennessean Is Real Cutting Edge Edition
Eddie George was on The Wake Up Zone on 104.5 FM this morning and weighed in on CJ2K's contract situation by saying what we pretty much all have said: I get why CJ2K wants a new contract, and in a lot of ways he deserves much more than he'll make this year, but he just doesn't have the leverage to demand a new deal with so many years left on his current one.
See now, Vanderbilt grad, former NFL stand-out and longtime draft guru Corey Chavous knows what he's talking about: he has the Titans taking Georgia Tech stud Derrick Morgan in the first round.
Jason Bowen of The Daily Sentinel catches up with last year's second round pick, Sen'Derrick Marks at the latest stop on the Titans Caravan 2010. It's worth reading just for this part alone:
The Titans Caravan combines school program events with public autograph sessions. Marks visited two elementary schools on Tuesday.
While there, he was reminded of the bitter college football rivalry between his alma mater and the University of Alabama.
"I said something about me being from Auburn and some of the kids were booing," said the Mobile native with a laugh. "It was kindergarten through fourth grade students. They start 'em early (in that rivalry)."

Douche on douche violence over at PFT. Seriously; all Mike Florio articles should be sponsored by Summer's Eve.
Jim Wyatt wants to know how many people out there do or don't want Big Albert back with the Titans. This would have been an interesting thing for Titans fans to discuss online in the Tennessean's comments section... a week ago.
The staff at Titansradio.com take a look at the DE spot in the draft.
Goodell is poised to discipline Rapeberger himself (or, more likely, pressure the Steelers ownership into delivering the punishment themselves), even though there will be no criminal charges. Usually I'm very leery about the commish's propensity to punish guys who aren't even prosecuted, but in this case I'm all for it because you'd have to be a drooling three year old to not think this guy a pattern of behavior towards women that's extremely disturbing.
I have to agree with Don Parr here, the Brandon Marshall trade was one of the more reasonable trades for all parties involved that you'll ever see.

i was thinking this morning that....
our 2nd round pick which we traded in last years draft for jared cook would be a real nice pick to have right now so we could bring back fat albert…
Gruden
Alfie, a commenter on PFT, had this to say:
Didn’t he get fired in Tampa because he couldn’t get anything out of his vast collection of quarterbacks? I can’t figure out why Gruden is heralded as this quarterback guru when he got fired from the Bucs for not being able to develop one.
Ding ding ding! Why does anyone care about what Jon “The Suckbag”™ Gruden has to say about quarterbacks?
Corey who?
I’m just kidding, August. I’m on board for picking Morgan, too.

I don't understand how anyone could be against drafting Derrick Morgan.
I mean look at that picture. Guy looks like a stud, has the stats to back it up in a bigtime conference, and has done it all WITH ONLY ONE LEG!
Official MCM Hater!
Adrian Peterson just fumbled again.
that made me lol
REAL SOVIET DAMAGE!!!

there is also no Joe Haden on his board in the top 32.
And wouldn’t he have to be the pick if he was still there at 16?

in the first he did it with one leg and one arm
REAL SOVIET DAMAGE!!!

That Corey Chavous thing is weird
He says Morgan would be the best fit, but then in his actual mock he has the Titans taking Everson Griffen b/c Morgan was taken at 14.
I’m an early bird and a night owl. So I’m wise and I have worms.
