Filed to ESPN: Brandon Marshall is going to be traded to the Miami Dolphins for a second-round pick this year and another pick next year.

The other pick is now reported to be a second rounder in 2011. I think that is too much. Great deal for the Broncos considering the whole league knew they wanted to move Marshall.

before ppl start bitching about how the titans didnt get him

let’s establish that marshall is wildly overrated. besides being a wife beater, he’s also not nearly as good of a WR as people think.

last year he ranked 24th in Football Outsiders total value metric, and only 38th in average value per pass thrown his way. in 2008 w/ CUTLER!!!!111, he was 42nd and 58th in those measures respectively. kenny britt was much more valuable per play last year than marshall ever has been in his career, @ #25.

his raw stats are inflated because the broncos threw to him an average of almost 170 times per season over the last 3 years. and he’s a malcontent who beats up on girls. im sure living in miami will help his character issues though.

yeesh

miami’s going to be rough on the guy. but don’t say you wouldn’t want him on your team, come on now, even though he may have been thrown to a freakish amount of times, his YAC is very impressive

Two 2nd Round picks is actually a pretty high price.

2nd Rounders are generally starters. Affordable starters. For that reason, smart teams try to stockpile 2nd Rnd picks.

Actually, only the seahawks/ broncos fans might be the only ones crying right now. Andre Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Chad Ocho, & Megatron are names of ELITE WRs. Marshall is in the second tier group with Welker, T.oo O.ld, Housh, Britt, Rice, Austin, Jackson, Moss, etc. Yes, Moss has downgraded. Housh & TO might be downgrading to tier 4. ha. Good for the dolphins. -

Trade for Ginn. Spin him down to the Nickel position, and let him return kicks. BAM! We upgrade the secondary, get Ginn back to his natural position, and solve the return problem. Win. Win. Win.
