Eight Players Who Will Attend the 2010 NFL Draft
I was really hoping to be able to watch Tim Tebow's face as team by team by team passed on him. Unfortunately we will not get that chance. Here are the eight players that will be in attendace:
Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
Russell Okung, T, Oklahoma State
Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech
Trent Williams, T, Oklahoma
Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee
Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State
Interesting list that does provide a couple of guys who could be on the board for a good while.

I'd totally attend, even if I was a 3rd Round pick
I bet the food is awesome and free

Agree there
Plus, even if you fall a few rounds… a minimum deal is still hundreds of thousands of dollars. You are in a good position no matter what.

No Sam Bradford?
that one is the interesting one to me because it’s possible he goes 1st overall… That would be interesting turn of events if the no.1 pick isn’t even there.

Yeah, that'd be weird
Does he have any risk of taking an Aaron Rodgers-like fall? That may be it.

Clausen maybe
but no way Bradford slips out of the top 10. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t in the top 5.

That is really strange
I figured Bradford would be at the top of the list for invites. He’s gonna go in the top 10 at least.

There is an invite for Bradford but he hasn’t yet accepted.
Mocking the Draft: Your NFL Draft source.
They say who will be in attendance but not who was invited.
It seems reasonable to assume that Bradford and other QBs were invited and declined to attend on the grounds that they’ve got no idea where they’re gonna land.
Or, to put it another way, it surpasses all logic and reason to assume that the TV dudes actually WANTED a roomful of Offensive and Defensive linemen, especially when the NFL so clearly markets itself as a skill-player’s League. I mean, look, Eric Berry is the “most exciting” player on there, and he’s a Safety!

Bradford, other QBs and a few other players are still deciding if they will attend
From La Canfora :
The NFL has also already extended and will extend invitations to other players as part of the celebration of the league’s 75th draft. The list of players still mulling their options includes quarterbacks Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow.
So its still possible a few of the QBs may be there come draft day.

Colt McCoy?
Colt better be ready to sit through all of Thursday and maybe even all of Friday before getting picked.

Disagree.
There are too many teams with needs at the QB position. I think you’ll see at least three gone in the first two rounds. And, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Shanahan pull the trigger on McCoy early in the second round.
Ya I agree
I think he’s an early 2nd round pick but if I recall correctly Mayock said he could go as high as a late first rounder. Perhaps some team with QB issues trades back into the late 1st round to nab him. Either way I don’t think there is much of a chance he lasts through the second round.

Any team that has a patriot style offense would love McCoy.
Or maybe a west coast. Anything with the short, quick passes and variety of screens.

if bradford is #1
he will know in advance because the rams will already start drawing up a deal b4 the draft. at least that’s how it usually works. im sure the rams would want him there for the photo op because a big part of taking a QB that high is to get the fans excited.

Funny how rarely it actually works out well...
Maybe if the teams taking QBs first in the draft didn’t almost always throw them straight to the wolved…
The danger of the wolved has killed many young QBs
