Thats just idiotic.
That trade was stupid. Absolutely stupid.
I can’t believe you allowed something like that.

It'd be great, but no trade like that is ever happening.
Why would tampa give up so many picks in a strong draft?

Ya I definitely agree
That trade would be great for Titans, and no way Tampa even considers something as dumb as that. And even if that happened we’d have 3 third round picks, one from TB, ours and our Albert compensatory pick. Either way this remains a ridiculous situation.

Thanks but,
I picked up a load of picks and am drafting quality players with those picks. My strategy has recieved very good feedback elsewhwere. So thank you for your opinion but I think i did the right thing.

Its terrible because it's not realistic in the slightest sense of the word.
Which mock drafts are supposed to be.

I agree that it is not realistic
To give up all those picks the Titans would need a top 5 pick and then Tampa would have to think one of those players was Jesus Christ.

I thought that Hardesty would be a nice compliment to CJ

LenDale
Love him… but we can do better via goaline or such with a better bruiser…
He simply got stuffed on too many occasions this past season when his number was called ( very few times not to mention ).
It's true. CJ actually can do just as well at the goaline.
Atleast thats what i saw last season. But while we still have LenDale its hard to see us having 4 RBs on our active roster unless Hardesty is also a backup fullback like Ganther.

This is like.....
When Coach Ditka traded his entire draft to get Ricky Williams in New Orleans. Only he would be stupid enough to trade all of those picks.

Its not that Titans fans would be angry with your trade down strategy
But this is not realistic, and so its not a very good mock draft. When you read a mock you want to see possible situations for your teams, but there is less than a 1% chance of that trade being made in real life. I wouldn’t complain if it happened, its just so unlikely that its hard to take it seriously.

those trades
would give the titans somewhere around 16 draft picks once the compensatory picks come out. that’s why it’s completely ridiculous.

Speaking of mock drafts
what’s the hold up on ours? No one has picked since Friday morning.

......
1) How did some random WR Taylor Price sneak IN FRONT of THE Montario Hardesty. He might be on the deep end of the top 5 RB list; but he has more value than that. But i would expect this great uphill RB to be gone by the third. It would be sweet to get him in the 4th, but NO.
2). This is the best CB we could get for the 67th pick is Perish Cox. No Myron Rolle. No Patrick Robinson. No McCourty. No Credzon Butler. Atleast this Perish got to practice against Dez Bryant for a few years & will help us IF Dez gets drafted to Jacksonville/ Indy (doubtful).
Since everyone is suggesting that a DE can make CBs way better. Next year we better have THREE TIMES AS MUCH OF INTs & SACKS from getting this powerful 1st round DE!!!!! When that super 3rd round CB drops the INT pick to the house; I will be laughing at you. Last year I wanted CB; we got Britt. This year I want CB; we will get DE. So maybe next year in 2011, we can draft a CB FIRST ROUND!
OH and for the haters, I’m sure one can provide ample names of players who became great CBs that were not first rounders. But the # of great CBs from first round out plays the amount of great CBs drafted in rounds 1-7!!!!!
Perrish Cox is a legit talent
Not always there in his head, but he’s athletic and he’s a good return man, which is something the Titans could use as well.

This is why I quit linking Mocking The Draft
And why I don’t go there anymore.

Because the readers are running a mock draft? That makes sense.
Mocking the Draft: Talking NFL Draft all year.
Actually it does
Because I would like the mock drafts to actually be somewhat realistic. I realize that different mock drafts are going to have guys going too high or too low, and personal biases are going to come into play, but trades like the one described in this post are simply ignorant. They would never ever happen in the real world, and I don’t want to see that in my mock drafts.
And that’s what ya’ll do, which is fine if that is what you want to read. But I don’t. If I wanted to see garbage like that, I would just go play Madden. It’s not bad, it’s just not interesting to me.

For me it isn't really about the mock drafts
It is about that horrific write-up about the Titans draft needs. The guy didn’t even spell Titans correctly- multiple times.
