Alge Crumpler Agrees to Terms with the New England Patriots

t is going to be heartbroken because Alge Crumpler has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots according to Terry McCormick and The Boston Globe.  The deal is expected to be officially announced next week.

Crumpler's time in Tennessee will be remembered more for what he gave away that what he contributed to the team.  The Titans had hoped to re-sign Crumpler, but it is probably better for the long run that he is gone because it keeps Jeff Fisher from putting him on the field.

Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...

i cant help

but get extremely excited that cook will now get the playing time and experience hes needed to possibly turn into an elite TE like we all hoped for.

So you think Cook will be taking Crumpler's spot...

I think Stevens probably fits that bill better. Cook better get on Heimerdinger’s good side soon or he may end up being the Bent Troupe of football.

Stevens will benefit most from this

I wish it meant that Cook would automagically get more playing time but he’ll have to beat Stevens out for it which I think he will do.

I, actually, have hope for Stevens too. I never saw him drop any balls during preseason.

Dinger and Fisher piss me off in that they expect these young players to get better without getting any meaningful reps, so I agree with Jimmy that this is probably addition by subtraction.
