Titans will sign free-agent DE Jason Babin to one-year, $1 million offer sheet that Eagles will have one week to match.

@Adam_Schefter

The final piece is in place. We are going to win the Super Bowl.

Geez

Babin must feel like a piece of meat. I bet it feels great to be a $1 million dollar piece of meat though.

I'm no expert

but I’m pretty sure feeling like a one million dollar piece of meat feels awesome.

Don’t really have an opinion on this because he is there for nothing more than depth if Philly doesn’t match.

A million bucks?

That’s all? I think if the Eagles want this guy back, Tennessee will lose him easily.

This contract sounds way too easy for Philly to match…

I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...

Yeah it really does

but it seems like they don’t even want him… I don’t know…

Just a FYI:

The Birds have stated that they will not match the Titans’ offer to Jason Babin. His time in Philadelphia is over.

Jonathan Hutton confirms via Twitter:

The Eagles are not going to match the Titans offer for DE Jason Babin.

I wonder if this was the sentiment....

When we signed KVB from Arizona? Just putting it out there.

by tdtommyd on Mar 18, 2010 8:29 AM CDT reply actions

I promise you all the Eagles won't match it...here is why:

They signed DE Daryl Tapp to a three year deal. “Tapp will compete with Victor Abiamiri and Juqua Parker for playing time opposite Pro Bowl right end Trent Cole.” So they will be looking for any more DE depth until draft day!

So since we got Babin almost signed, CAN WE DRAFT A CB/S now in the first; then get another DE Depth in the third!!!! Think a great second CB for the future and here is your line: Babin, Brown, Jones, Ford. I think this could work…
