Leon Washington

I really think we should make a run at him. The Jets have Shonn Green and just signed LT2. I know he is tendered as a second rounder but I think we can get him for less as he's coming off a broken leg.

I think he fits exactly what we need opposite CJ. He's a bruising downhill runner, averaged 5 YPC, a great receiver, and is one of the best return men in fball.

Thoughts?

confused for someone else. there is nothing bruising about him. he’s smaller than cj.

maybe when he said bruising he meant that Leon bruises easily

Titans don't make trades

Leon has at least one year left in contract with the Jets. Given the fact he gets BRUISED OR INJURED every year; not worth the run at him.

Brian Westbrook & Larry Johnson are still available……lol

Shocking. He will get surely get released in 3 years. Redskins waist more money than the Raiders. Just because a player was great in the past, if he sucks now, he will never return to that great status. See Ahman Green, LT, Shaun Alexander, Julius Jones, etc. I can see Thomas Jones ballin for the Chiefs, but LT & LJ are too risky.

I don’t think the Jets can agree to accept less than a 2nd rounder. I.e. you need to have a 2nd rounder to get him. The Jets can’t agree to 3rd and a 4th instead, can they?

so why would he be in the backfield? We were all saying “just imagine Vince, CJ and Lendale in the backfield” last year and that never even happened. If it was so amazing I think the coaching staff would have made it happen last year.
