I was reading an article on ESPN about the upcoming visit for LT to the Vikings...in the article, a point was brought up about a issue LT had with Jim Brown for saying AP was the best back he had ever seen...LT went on to defend his self...and Childress backed up AP...but as I was reading the comments...once again, it goes to prove what we already know...CJ2K is the best back in the league....
Comment after the jump...
jlosota146,
I get your point. However, isn't Adrian's attitude an issue?
I recall hearing him being interviewed that "his style of running is going to lead to more fumbles because I bring on some much attention". I also recall hearing him say that he is trying to make sure that the way he secures the ball doesn't affect his style of running.
Maybe he is "in denial" that he has a fumbling problem - - - OR - - Maybe he just isn't that smart (to recognize that fumbling is a problem). Maybe he should read some of the bad commentary about his fumbling rather than just listening to everyone who keeps telling him he's the greatest back in the game.
As I recall - Chris Johnson had over 2000 rushing yards last season (600 more than anyone else) with only 3 fumbles in over 358 attempts (that's one every 119). Meanwhile, Adrian was 5th in yards with 6 fumbles in 314 attempts (that's one every 52).....over 2 times more often.
- Of note, Stephen Jackson, Thomas Jones and Maurice Jones-Drew all finished with just slightly more yards than Adrian, with about the same number of carries but each only had 2 fumbles each.....i.e. Adrian fumbled 3 times more often than his peers.
Say it with me:
"Minnesota, we have a problem!"
