Trading Lendale?

Just some food for thought, or hopefully to spark a discussion during this dry spell of Titans news leading up to the SB. What do you guys think about the Titans possibly trying to ship Lendale out of town for some additional picks. If so, what do you think we can get for him? There's no question that Lendale thinks he can be a starting RB in this league, and one year ago had just finished a season where he rushed for 15 TDs, and he has also rushed for 1100yds before. He only has 628 carries over 4 years, so there isn't that much wear and tear on his body, and at 25 could still be a productive runner for somebody for a number of years. Personally, I think the MOST we could expect to get in return for a guy like him would be a mid-low second rounder, and at WORST a low 3rd rounder. (In total, somewhere between pick 48-96). Perhaps packaging Lendale with another pick (4th or 5th rd) to try to move up into the second round would not be such a bad idea. Im sure it won't be too difficult to find a guy who can spell CJ for 50 carries a year, and our defense could sure use a 2nd rounder back there. What do you guys think? Is this something the Titans should consider?

Technically he isn't

but if he isn’t allowed to become unrestricted then he basically is.

"What if I was Peyton Manning?"- CJ to the ref after they picked up a personal foul flag for a late hit on him.

But we would get a draft pick

from the new club in compensation if someone payed him away from us. Which is kinda like a trade, but yeah, the second option ain’t possible.

This is actually a tricky one for me

For one I actually like Lendale, without him who would coin phrases such as “Swagger Jacked”, no really he is a good short yardage back, and pretty dang good in goal line situations as well, I have always kind of thought of him as a poor mans Bettis. Though I enjoyed CJ tearing up records this year, I do not want him to carry the ball that many times for long. I think most will agree that one of the most hair pulling decisions of the season was to see Lendale sitting on the bench every game.

If it is possible to use him as trade bait that may not be a bad move, but do we really know what we have in Ringer? God forbid something happened to CJ at least we know what we have with Lendale.

No point resigning Lendale if Fish won't give him any carries....

He’s going to fly off to the shithawks, and I for one will miss him and his silly touchdown dance.

they wont be able to get him

as long as we tender him an offer (which would be stupid not to do). if they do choose to sign him, we would get a 2nd rounder (minimum, could elevate to a 1st depending on the contract) which i for one, would be thrilled with. Lendales a good back, and took everything in stride this season, but I think a 2nd round pick would be more valuable than lendale white, especially if its seattles 2nd round pick.

Good potential.

I was hoping White would have lost weight & showed up to camp last year ready to compete with CJ for more reps…but that didn’t exactly happen. But I agree with bullrider, if he could drop some lbs. and pick up a little more quickness, I think he could be a good power back & especially in short yardage or goal line situations.

yeah maybe if he could run like a 4.24

or less amaybe he can compete with CJ ..but yes like bullrider said if somthing were to happen to CJ and lendale was gone and we had a unproven Ringer in there as a everydown back .. and midway were sitting on a 7-3 record still going to dallas and indy and houston or somthing to that nature .. thay could mean alot . rather have white back there at least keepin that clock moving and chains ..
