Filed a short to ESPN: Chargers exploring trade scenarios for a RB with Antonio Cromartie as bait.
LenDale would be the perfect compliment to Darren Sproles in San Diego. Just sayin..

just saw this on espn.com and came over to see if anyone had anything on it...
and you guys are on top of it as usual…
at the end of the article on espn.com it says that sources say the chargers are open to a draft pick to get cromartie as well so they can draft a running back. but again… it makes too much sense… I think cromartie can return kicks also.. although i wouldn’t dare put him back there to do it if it were my choice.
good bye lendale and harper
and hopefully welcome antonio eventhough i dont think the FO will do that
Antonio may have some problems...
However he would be a huge upgrade over Harper and would address a serious problem in our secondary. It would be welcome change from my point of view, but like you guys said it makes too much sense.
Highlight video
Coincidentally, there is a workout/highlight video that includes our very own Keith Bulluck along with Cromartie, Dwight Freeney, and Terrell Suggs.
Bulluck is up first, Cromartie starts about 2:05 and includes a workout of him beating a tractor tire with a sledgehammer (this apparently gets one ready for the regular season).
Oh, and while I hope you come to TN Cromartie, you can’t have # 31. Sorry.
I seem to remember this video last off-season

Would welcome the Cromartie trade
Oh by the way NFL.com says that Mawae, KVB, and Bulluck are goners. What do they know???

P.s.
If we did make the lendale trade we would need to pick up another RB concerns of CJ going down and Ringers inexperience scares me.

If CJ gets hurt
We only win 2 games instead of 8.
Doesn’t matter either way.

Watch him end up in Indy. Do NOT want to see that guy twice a year.

Lendale for Cromartie sounds great and all
But like people have said it makes way too much sense for our front office and he’d be a huge upgrade over Harper. Although I think a tackling dummy would deflect more passes than Harper.
Cromartie for Lendale only "makes sense" for the Titans
I like to keep my swearing down (totally not true), but this situation warrants it.
The Chargers would be motherfucking retarded to make that trade
1. Lendale isn’t half as good at his job as Cromartie is at his.
2. And this one is the sticker, LENDALE DOESNT HAVE A LONGTERM DEAL!!! He’s a restricted free agent. If Chris Johnson retired the day after Lendale went to another team, would you trade Cortland Finnegan for Chester Taylor of the Vikings the year he is a Restricted Free Agent????
And you wonder why the front office and Jeff Fisher regard fan criticism as an absolute joke. Maybe it’s because you think Antonio Cromartie for Lendale white as a restricted free agent is a fair deal.

any trade would be probably be contingent on a new contract getting done
a common arrangement with players who aren’t happy with their contracts/need new ones.
And the FO thinks fan criticism is a joke because they don’t care. Fish’s “job” is to keep his job, plain and simple. Not to win championships, not to make the fans happy. Hence his risk-averseness.
This is why i get mad when I read things like high MCM job approval after a retarded season like last year’s. Titans fans are too loyal for their own good.

and Cromartie is only signed through next year. WTF T-Rac??

Dude, LW is Restricted!
He’s a 1 and a 3 in the bank!
Cromartie>>>>>>>>>>>>>a worst case 1 and a 3? a highly speculative pick who only had 1 year of coming close to living up to the hype? You could get any RB in the draft with a 1 and a 3.
As for your obsession with “fair,” you are posting shit that you don’t agree with, attributing it to other people, and then calling them out.
If the FO pitched this deal and didn’t get it done, they would keep quiet about it to hide the fact that they are trying to move Lendale, not because they were embarrassed. Ur just making up shit with your imagination.
The criticism of the FO is that we are entering an uncapped year, and they are pretending we are the Falcons or the Bucs or something, letting awesome players walk for nothing.
So basically you think Lendale is worth a 1, a 3, AND Cromartie?
I don’t follow you.
Nobody will pick up Lendale for a 1 and a 3. That’s ridiculous. And people did say it. Read the comments above.

now you've argued yourself into a knot
Just look up what it means to be a RESTRICTED FA. I don’t have time to explain it to you.
We’re def. still cool, btw, I enjoy most of your posts.
I admit
all the free agent rules tie me into a knot myself, but I suspect TRac is aware of them. Although I did not follow TRac’s #2 point at all, above. #1 I get.
But, assuming they wanted to trade, the way I understand it is that since Lendale is a restricted FA, the Titans would have to tender him a new contract offer. Then other teams could exceed it, and depending on the amount of the excess have to provide us a single draft pick in compensation.
So I also don’t understand what you mean by “he’s a 1 and a 3 in the bank”.
But, unless I misunderstand something, we cannot “trade” Lendale for Cromartie. Maybe if we signed him to a new contract, then we could trade him.
This would be a good topic for someone that actually understands all the legalities to break down, but since I agree with T-Rac’s #1 point, it’s kinda academic. Even if all the rubic’s cubes sides could be lined up, I don’t see them doing it unless we threw in someone else besides Lendale.

So Jeff Fisher regards fan criticism as an absolute joke
Because Titan fans don’t think a trade that would be in the Titans’ favor would be unfair?
Of course we are not going to discuss if it is “fair.” Who gives a shit if it is “fair?” There have been a thousand trades made that weren’t “fair.”

but to criticize the front office for not making this move because it "makes too much sense" is really dumb
How do you know they didn’t make the offer? And if they did, I’m sure the Chargers laughed until milk squirted out of their nose. Due to this embarrassing reaction, the Titans FO decided not to alert the media to their offer. The Chargers FO decided not to just in case it was a big, elaborate joke designed to make them look dumb for reporting it, thus fans think, “OUR FRONT OFFICE DOESNT DO ANYTHING!!! LETS TRADE LENDALE FOR CROMARTIE!! AND VINCENT JACKSON!! HES GUD!! WE SHOULD GET HIM 2!!!!”
Fans, especially on here, are usually pretty smart. But when I read bullshit like, “Lendale for Cromartie is fair, and the only reason our front office wont make this deal is because it makes too much sense, and our front office is dumb!” I’m calling it out, because it’s retarded. The reason the deal won’t get done is because the Chargers wouldn’t accept that deal EVER, so to blame our front office for that is completely asinine and worthy of a Boston fan, not a Titans fan.

Who said that? That it was fair?
And our front office is dumb. We offered Matt Jones a contract. We did not offer Donte Stallworth a contract.
Official MCM Hater!
Fire Jeff Fisher.
But it gets worse
We sign Nate Washington to a multi-year deal and parade him around like he’s Jerry Rice or something (Thank God his signing bonus was small because he clearly sucks). Then we let dudes like Mawae and Bullock sit there while we ignore Stallworth and throw money at MATT JONES. So we blow off 3 dudes who can help this team next year (4 if you count KVB, 5 if you count Amano, who is still not done) to throw a contract at someone who if he makes our team come training camp, IS AN EVEN BIGGER INDICTMENT of the FO.
Throw money at Matt Jones? If he took the Bengals contract, obviously it wasnt "throwing money"
And Mawae is 39 years old and we have Leroy Harris in the waiting. So why is that dumb?
Bulluck, well, I don’t see why it’s such a good idea to sign him either
Lets keep in mind we didnt actually SIGN Matt Jones.
You guys are crazy.

Says the czar of Titans football!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.
"What if I was Peyton Manning?"- CJ to the ref after they picked up a personal foul flag for a late hit on him.
If you look back at history, being a czar did not have good results.

DUMB BS!
I agree with gramsey here. Stallworth was given a second chance by the Ravens. Yes he killed a guy. But when it comes to the athletic talent/ ability of Stallworth vs Matt Jones. It’s like comparing CJ to White. Donte is very explosive and great at juking defensive backs. Matt Jones is a former cokehead who only play the slot WR but unfortunately the Bengals trainer labeled him as “The worst workout I have ever seen”. So FO, your DUMB! Just take a WR round 4-6. Johnny Knox from the bears was drafted late last year!
