Would you want an offensive or defensive HC?

It seems like almost a given now that we will be looking for a new head coach this offseason.  Would you prefer the Titans hire an offensive or defensive coach for the opening?

I have always thought hiring defensive coaches is the better move.  I tend to think that defensive coaches have more staying power, and in many cases lead to a quicker turnaround.  If you can build an outstanding defense, you have a shot at staying in games and pulling out a few wins that probably should be losses.  At least the coach and team will be somewhat competitive early on, while we continue to fill other major holes.

On the flip side though, an offensive coach has a lot of benefits too.  From this point it looks like we'll have an early draft pick, and with that, an opportunity to perhaps take a quarterback.  Bringing in an offensive coach, and allowing him to pursue a QB in the draft that he feels will be successful is also tempting.  Clearly the best chance of being successful offensively is when the coach has a QB that fits his vision for the team.  That wasn't the case for the past five years, and so remedying that problem is quite tempting.

What do you guys think?
