Another important reason why the Fisher Era should be over.

Caveat:  This list will not mention anything about VY or the continuing insanity that surrounds Randy Moss's tenure with the Titans.  Not that these things are not valid and debatable reasons why the Fisher Era should come to and end, I just think one important, yet obvious factor has gone under-mentioned by all of us around here.  Here it is...

The Titan's Poor AFC South Record against the Indianapolis Colts.

Since the 2002 realignment the Colts have one 6 of 8 AFC south titles making them clearly the team that you have to beat to win this division.  The Titans have swept this series only 1 time in 2002 and followed that up by being swept in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2009 . With this Sunday's game remaining to be seen this team has been an atrocious 3-12 since that 2002 sweep.  That kind of record would get you fired if you were the coach in other cities around the NFL.  Yes, Yes the Colts have Peyton Manning, but a 5-13 record if the Titans should lose Sunday is unacceptable.  I spent a good deal of time comparing the records of the Titans vs the Colts to the Patriots and Chargers before deciding they weren't relevant (If you wanna know Colts are 5-6 vs Pats and 2-5 against the Chargers since 2002 both including playoffs).  I decided they weren't relevant because I noticed something during my tabulations, which again should have been obvious.  When both teams made the playoffs the record of these division games was dead even at 4-4 with the only time a non-playoff Titan team winning a game was the 60 yard Rob Bironas field goal game.  What's this prove?  A good Titans team can beat a good Colts team and a bad or average Titans team wins 1 out of every 10 matchups, which is real bad. How bad is bad?  Our probable 5-13 record is only 3 better than the playoff never-will-be Texans (2-16) and the same as the Jags who have won zero division titles and have only 2 playoff berths as a member of the AFC South. Even stranger is that the Titans are 24-12 against the other two division opponents during this same period, which sorta says we should be much better than them against the third, but we since we aren't this says that either the Colts are that good or that our strategy against them is poor.  Since we usually only compete with them when we have superior talent, I'm leaning toward bad game-planning.  Time for debate.
