Lost But Not Forgotten

I was at home and thought to myself out of nowhere. I wonder how we would be doing with Derrick Morgan

Now this is a legitimate question. How would good would the Titans be if Derrick Morgan wasn't injured. Do we go on that losing streak when we have another legitimate pass rusher. Our line wouldn't be as banged as it is now. Maybe our secondary plays like it was playing earlier in the season. It's just goes to show how much of an impact he had on this team. It's not a coincidence that the first game he he was injured we lost and they were a passing team. He has a huge effect on this defense and he's not even here. This is what gives me hope about next season. A healthy Derrick Morgan hopefully a Jason Babin, Jason Jones, Tony Brown all on our defensive line. Now that's a force to be reckoned with.

I dunno.

Unless your Albert Haynesworth in his prime, or Jared Allen, or Julius Peppers, you really don’t make a significant impact that can seriously alter any and every game. I’m not sure with or without Morgan how much better we’d be. He would have helped the d-line sure, but we don’t know how much.

a healthy starting D end isn't any different than a healthy 2nd or 3rd stringer?

there’s a reason these guys get paid so damn much, they play one of the most important positions on the field, if you can rush the QBs blind side, you make him your bitch

I'm saying that even if we had Morgan

how would we know what type of production we would get out of him? I’m not saying he wouldn’t have helped, he definitely would have helped, but enough to impact our record by a large margin? I dunno.

I hear ya

but he was off to a pretty fast start, already had a couple of sacks IIRC, might have been able to help out this D that was just god awful. being able to rotate Ball in and out would’ve been nice.
