I'm kind of just curious to get MCMers opinion on whether they feel this season is the most disappointing in Titans (and I do recognize the Oilers' history and heritage, but I want to limit this just to their time as the Titans) history.
For me I think this has to be the most disappointing. We've had years that have ended worse (playoff losses to Baltimore, One Yard Short), but this one the most demoralizing simply because it started with such promise and with the rest of the division and conference dealing with their own issues and parity, the division seemed ripe for the taking.
2004 and 2005 may be worse record-wise, but I think we all expected that after the cap blowup. After starting 5-2 with one loss due to QB ineptitude (Pittsburgh) and one to bad luck (Broncos) that could also be chalked up to fluke loss, and a huge comeback win over Philly, I fully expected this team to finish the year strong and handily win the division and easily could have run away with it (I know mathematically it's still possible, but let's be honest here based on what the past six weeks have presented).
So...most disappointing season ever?
