Young showed up at the team’s facility on Monday and was asked to leave by a team official, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Young expressed frustration and was visibly upset, according to sources, but he eventually left without incident.
This just keeps getting more bizarre. I am not really sure why Jeff Fisher would do this. My only guess is that it is because they haven't yet had a conversation about what took place on Sunday, but it is about dang time that Fisher did something about that. Communication is a two-way street. Fisher can only hide behind the Vince hasn't talked to me for so long. Fisher is the boss, and he should be the one to open the dialogue.
[UPDATE]- Apparently Vince was told that he was not needed at a meeting that was taking place- not that he wasn't welcome at the facility. Here is the statement from the Titans:
Statement from the #Titans: Tennessean reports indicating that Vince Young is not welcome at Baptist Sports Park are incorrect. esterday, he was informed by a coach at the facility not to attend Monday’s team meeting and was free to leave. The intention was to be able to talk to the team about Young’s situation and how the team would move forward. Players that are on injured reserve are not as to any other player in that category.
