Coming from out of town - advice please and thank you!
Hey all, im from Ottawa, Canada and me and a buddy are planning on coming to town for the December 9th Thursday night game vs Indy to celebrate my 21st. Neither of us have ever been to Nashville (or an NFL game for that matter!) and I just had a few questions that maybe you guys would be able to help me out with
1) Tickets - where would be the best seats for us to buy our tickets for? I was looking at the NFL ticket exchange website and there are seats for sale pretty much anywhere we want...I was thinking of maybe getting seats in the first couple rows of the endzone, but maybe there are better seats elsewhere?
2) Hotel - if anyone could recommend a hotel thats somewhere near the stadium, or the downtown bar area (or preferably both...not sure how close the stadium is from the bar scene?)
3) Bars - best bar to go to on a Wednesday or Thursday night (for reference: were both early 20s, so somewhere with a young university crowd, preferably somewhere that does not have a reputation for having a lot of fights or trouble, as we're coming to have fun, not for bar fights lol)
4) Tailgates - not familiar with the local tailgate routine before games!
5) Any "must see" Nashville tourist spots, as we will most likely flying into town the day before the game, so we would like to do the whole Nashville tourist thing as well.
If anyone would be able to help me out a bit here it would be much appreciated! Im super pumped for the trip, I always figured I would have to go to Buffalo for my first NFL game since its fairly close, but to be able to actually make the trip down to see the Titans at home, in primetime, versus the Colts, cant really get any better! Thanks a lot for any info you would be able to pass along, and hopefully I'll run into some of you while we're there!

I drive down every year
Nashville is great.
I recomend using Ebay. I’ve found it to be cheaper.
Definitly stay at the DoubleTree Downtown. It is 1 block from Printer’s Alley( small spot with some good bars) & is just a short walk over the river to stadium.
Or, if u want cheaper hotel(ull pay more in cab costs from my experience) try the Best Western Music Row. Nice spot, close to Vanderbilt. There is a little strip mall just off the traffic circle there on Demonbraun St. that has 2 nice college bars, stocked full of fine young southern bells!!!
Bars/Clubs: Printer’s Alley is fun on the weekends, never been during week. Ms. Kelly’s is one of my fave’s. Divebar, but good time.
2nd Ave has the clubs. Coyote Ugly is always fun! Karma is popular too. Just walk the strip on 2nd Ave & you’ll find what ur lookin for.
Broadway has all the old honkey tonks. They are fun, even if u dont like country music(like me). But for a younger crowd ull want 2nd Ave. That strip mall on Demonbraun was fun. We went there the Sat before Broncos game & had a great time.
Cant go wrong with either 2nd or Demonbraun really. But make sure u hit Printer’s Alley! Google Map it. Just DONT go into the strip club!! Its crazy expensive in there!!
Make sure u eat at Rippy’s on Broadway if u want a good bbq chicken sandwich! Its right next to the hockey arena.
U can google map Nashville & find all these places, so ull have a better layout of the city. I recomend walking over on the bridge to the North of the stadium. Its an easier walk(especially if u stay at Double Tree.)
oHIo1 did pretty good job laying it out there for you...
…downtown is the place to stay, lots of good options to choose from hotel-wise. Lots of good places to eat, hang out, and have a good time, and if you’re in town thru Saturday, the Predators have a home game on that Saturday night. You really don’t have to leave downtown.
I was thinkin Preds
but I work friday-saturday night and have to be back in Ottawa unfortunately…i would have liked to see an nhl game in another city tho, i hear nashville actually has a really really good fan base for an american team (no slight at american teams intended, just a lot of cities dont have as good as reputation in comparison to others!) but it definitely would have been cool if they were playing wednesday night at home
