Pennington?
Does this mean a heavy dose of short passes and Roney Brown in the wild cat?
I'm not a VY fanboy, I'm a VY supporter
It does if Chad starts.
There is always Thigpen. The ‘experts’ at PFW seem to think the future is with him.

Is it strange that I wish we still had Ben Hartsock?
Wow really?
what’s up with that?
Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence. - Erma Bombeck
I'm thinking this is a good move for the Titans.
Pennington’s arm is nowhere near Henne’s, so it should be an offense that is severely restricted into 25 yards or so. Plus this will reduce Marshall’s chances to burn us deep.
Why do I write this? To tell all of you new inexperienced bloggers that you can also live this dream that I call my life. Just always strive to overreact to player’s Tweets, rumor monger with impunity (because you are NOT a journalist and are not bound by their stupid rules), write poorly constructed arguments, ignore many rules of punctuation and syntax, and above all else ban anyone who dares challenge your authority.
Sincerely,
Radley Bells

An released former Vol Jason Allen
Think we would ever grab Allen and dump Mouton? Vol is a former Vol and a former 1st round pick.

Hate we're going to have to rock the local boy's world
but oh well. Hopefully this may help us on our 3rd down and long conversions though. Should have a smaller range to be concerned about.
LMAO!!!!!

I thought Henne was playing pretty well.

Does this mean Thornton will get the start?
Pennington = TONS of super-accurate screen/short passes.

I'm not sure how I feel about this
Anybody know why? I thought Henne was playing well.
Does anything think this is better for us? I tend to think so.
Also, I know nothing about the Dolphins. How’s their O-line?
3 picks last week

Henne wasn't playing terribly,
but he has thrown a good amount of Ints this year, including 3 last week. The problem is that the OC Dan Henning has been completely terrible and trying to force Henne to play to his scheme rather than adjusting his scheme to fit Henne’s strengths.
Personally, I think that this is a desperation move by Sparano to try and save his and Hennings jobs because both have done pretty bad jobs this year.

don't
sleep on Pennington. Everyone always talks about his weak arm. I don’t buy it. Is he going to go Brady on us, no. But don’t think he can’t complete a 40 yard post. It’s the out and smash routes he struggles with.
Anyone have an idea about VY? Will he get the start? I’m most concerned about their running game. My bet is that, as long as they are within 2 TD’s, they will go with a steady diet of R & R. While we appear to be decent against the run, we wear down. And R & R are both beasts.

Hypothesis: Chad Pennington has killed the Titans in his career
Stay tuned….

"What if I was Peyton Manning?"- CJ to the ref after they picked up a personal foul flag for a late hit on him.
Also: Henne has thrown a LOT of INTs.
And Tennessee is tied for the lead in INTs this season. Considering that the ’Phins are now 4-4, this Sunday is essentially a playoff game for them.

considering what the defence has struggled with this season
this isnt necessarily good news.
Sporano probably saw the death by 1000 cuts that was the Chargers passing game and thought Pennington would be better suited to execute a similar gameplan.
Yeah, Pennington is accurate with the short stuff
So, expect a lot of quick slants, 5yd hitches, and quick outs to the TEs. The Titans have been getting killed on those (see Broncos and Chargers game). This puts even more emphasis to stop the run on 1st/2nd down. Get Pennington into a 3rd and long situation…if it’s 3rd and short then the Titans D will have a tough time getting off the field.

run dmc too
sticky icky rickys gonna have a beastly game
We get killed by it because we play so much off coverage
Of course we’re gonna get eaten alive if we line up 10yds off the receivers
What a bad move
Henne is that teams future, yea I know they are trying to compete for the Wild Card but still. Pennington is so washed up
I agree it looks odd
because sometimes coaches over think a game. Sporano knows the season is on the line so he tried to shake things up like Fisher pulling VY against the steelers. I hope it results in a Titans blowout win.
Titans 59
Dolphins 21
Chad Pennington stats against the Titans
2007 Week 16: 26-32, 264 yards, 81.3%, 8.25 YPA, 1 TD, 2 INT, 85.4 QB rating
2006 Week 1: 24-33, 319 yards, 72.7%, 9.67 YPA, 2 TD, 0 INT, 123.2 QB rating
2003 Week 13: 18-23, 231 yards, 78.3%, 10.04 YPA, 2 TD, 2 INT, 101.3 QB rating
Total for all 3 games: 68-88, 814 yards, 77.4%, 9.32 YPA, 5 TD, 4 INT, 103.7 QB rating
Chad Pennington Career Numbers:1631-2469, 66.1%, 7.2 YPA, 102 TD, 64 INT, 90.1 QB rating
Titans Pass D in 2003: 60.8%, 7.0 YPA, 20 TD, 21 INT, 78.2 opposing QB rating
Titans Pass D in 2006: 63.2%, 7.1 YPA, 24 TD, 17 INT, 86.0 opposing QB rating
Titans Pass D in 2007: 61.3%, 6.0 YPA, 21 TD, 22 INT, 74.5 opposing QB rating
So, Pennington plays better against the Titans than his career average and plays better than other opposing QBs played against the Titans in those years. Now, this in no way forecasts how Pennington plays on Sunday against the Titans…Titans pass D is better this year than in those other 3 years, Pennington is older and hasn’t played in a long time, etc.
But, Pennington is the type of QB that gives the Titans pass D problems (historically speaking).
Question
Anyone concerned with he fact that the Titans could and should have got back to work a little earlier considering the aquizition of Moss (AKA- Straight Cash Homie). Just don’t know why they didnt take advantage of the fact that we aquired him on a bye early in the week.
I know he was in a day earlier
But, I mean just getting him familiar with the plays, terminology and the other ‘Non-Physically strenuous stuff’

I do think Pennington plays into the way Verner plays
ATV loves jumping those quick routes and he doesn’t have to worry so much about those deep outs or go routes, plus he’s a sure tackler.
Will we see ATV finally take one to the house???
Hopefully tonight
