MCM Play of the Week (Week 4)
Sorry about the delay. I was extremely unmotivated to do this after sitting through the game. There were some plays that deserved to be in here, however. It's going to be a long year if the coaches don't let VY make some plays.
Videos after the jump...
A. Javon Ringer 54-yard run.
The offensive line has been pretty sucktastic this year, but they opened a huge hole for Ringer here (Ahmard Hall and Eugene Amano with the key blocks). This guy will be starter somewhere else next year.
B. Vince Young to Kenny Britt 8-yard TD pass.
Let the man throw the ball! Vince does a good job stepping up and giving Britt some time to get get open. This is Britt's second game in a row with a nice TD catch. Now that his head problems seem to be gone, let's fix the coaching head cases!
C. Marc Mariani 98-yard kickoff return for a TD.
He was close all preseason and the first 3 games, but he finally broke it. All of his hard work is paying off. The rest of the special teams guys did a great job blocking (Why does it seem that Ahmard Hall is involved in half the plays on here?!?) and gave him a huge lane. Mariani needs to find a way to get possession of that ball at the end, although he was victimized by some freakish wind gust and an odd bounce.
D. Michael Griffin intercepts Kyle Orton.
This is the second week in a row that Will Witherspoon has forced an interception. I really wish that Griffin would find a way to run that ball back a little further, because we know the offense won't move the ball. The game should have been over after this. The game should have been over after the failed 4th down attempt. The game should have been over on 2nd and 25. How the hell did Denver win this game? Note to Jeff Fisher: Find another way to run down the clock, other than CJ up the middle every damn play.

I gotta go with Mariani
just because that was our first kick-off return for a TD in years and it was great to watch him blaze through all those Broncos like that

I voted for Mariani
This kid is being such an improvement to our return game, like night and day.
I'm not a VY fanboy, I'm a VY supporter

After that It’s a toss-up between Mariani and Ringer…

Rec’d. Cecil’s #1
Adrian Peterson still thinks he's the best running back in the NFL. That's funny, Fumble Fingers.

I went with Mariani because that hasn't happened with the Titans

Has to be Mariani.
I can’t stress how good it feels to have a return man that is a threat
Ain't no time for hesitatin'
All you got to do is groove
Mariani.
Great vision. Wish we could have gotten him in the slot in the second half of last game. I bet this kid has an uncanny ability for finding the soft spot in a zone.

"What if I was Peyton Manning?"- CJ to the ref after they picked up a personal foul flag for a late hit on him.
