Change of offensive mindset needed (All Out Offense)
For years the Titans have had a certain strategy when it comes to offense: Lean on the defense, make just enough plays to win the game, and then run out the clock at the end. This strategy does not work with Chris Johnson as the Titans tailback. Chris Johnson is the most dynamic RB this franchise has ever had, unfortunately his one weak area is really hurting the team. CJ picks up a ton of negative yardage plays. The game against the Broncos is a perfect example: CJ couldn't close out the game. The Titans, under Jeff Fisher have always been good at closing out games. But let's face it - Eddie George is not here anymore. Heck, I know he has a lot of haters here, but Lendale White is not here anymore either. For that reason, the Titans need to change thier offensive mindset. I watched the Titans move the ball pretty much at will against the Broncos all game, and then the mindset became "lets close this game out" and the Titans failed to do so. We desperately need to look to score a TD every single time we posses the football. We need a two TD lead going into the last 5 minutes of every game, not a three point lead. I'm convinced that our offensive cordinator and our offense could work very well with this mindset and with this defense - that could be a recipe for a spot in this year's Super Bowl. I call it All Out Offense.
Stout defense + All Out Offense = Super Bowl

OL play is what is killing us
A lot of the lackluster plays in the second half, that a lot of people are attributing to “bad play calling”, were huge plays last year. Our OL has had a serious drop-off in performance when compared to last year. That’s the problem.
Agree in full...
I remember reading before the season that leroy harris was going to be a monster out there…wrong…
Eugene Amano is playing horribly
Jake Scott has played poorly
The tackles appear to be playing better then these three, but correct me if I am wrong
Overall, i think we miss mawae and his experience at center and the line as a whole is playing average AT BEST
HOW CAN CJ RUN WITH NO HOLES BEING OPENING or DEFENDERS BLOWING PLAYS UP IN THE BACK FIELD??
Not going to argue about OL play
They have not been good. But, I also think CJ has been a little skittish hitting the hole. I think he’s trying so hard to “hit the big one” that he’s missing picking up some positive yardage.
Of course, that may be because he’s trying to make up for some poor OL play…
I do agree with the premise of this article though…we don’t have Eddie George anymore. The one possible power back that we had (Blount) was let go for some special teams players (and we see how great our special teams has been on returns and coverage). So, we’re stuck playing Fisherball with a RB not suited to play Fisherball…that’s why Fish is going to have to adjust to the players he has.

If only it was this simple.
Stout defense + All Out Offense = Super Bowl
No matter what you may think, there is no simple, clear cut way to get to a Super Bowl.

I declare the Statement
UNLEASH THE AOO!!!
Unleash the Hawk, Unleash Cookie, Unleash the Vince Young!!
Unleash Fisher’s Fears!! Fisher, Pull the training wheels off of Young, Fisher, Let VY be a Big Boy a ride the bike with no training wheels to win the NFL RACE!!
Missing the point
I know it’s not easy to get to a Super Bowl but to be successful you must have a plan. And the plan they have now is not working. Think back to the end of the first half on Sunday. That drive to set up the long field goal was a thing of excellence. The offense and VY were very sharp. We should be playing like that on every drive. How many drives this year have you seen a 3rd and long and us run a draw play? Probably about a dozen and it only worked one time. To me that is giving up and playing for field goals and this needs to stop. I am totally convinced we have one of the most underrated offensive minds in Mike Heimerdinger, and if Jeff Fisher get’s out of that guy’s way – this team could be very successful.
