Tennessee Titans Morning Links: All Quiet On The Titan Front Edition
Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers of America have announced their yearly All Pro team, and CJ2K is once again the lone Titan earning the accolade.
Floyd Reese was shut-out of the Seattle job, as the Seahawks have hired John Schneider from the Packers. Maybe Floyd just needs to go back to ESPN and do commentary, because he's really struggling to get another GM job.
ESPN Fantasy wonk Eric Karabell forecasts CJ2K as the top fantasy pick in 2010, but worries about an almost guaranteed regression in yards and carries:
Now comes the hard part for Chris Johnson. The Tennessee Titans running back topped the 2,000-yard rushing mark, which I think will make him the top pick in most 2010 fantasy football drafts. But what happens when he can't match his 2009 success? Only five other running backs have ever rushed for 2,000 yards in a season, and none of them ever did it a second time. Congratulations to Johnson, but hey, the pressure is on for a repeat performance. Fantasy footballers are certainly watching. Just ask the fellow who some of us thought would reach the 2,000-yard plateau this season.
Vince Young was picked by ESPN blogger Tim Griffin as the Big 12 star of the decade.

I find it interesting that Tim Griffin has Colt McCoy as #10 in top 10 players of the decade in the Big XII. His list is a joke.
Adrian Peterson at #2? The kid is uber talented, but his college career was riddled with injuries. In his freshman year, which was clearly his best, Cedric Benson had equally impressive stats. That one, in particular, feels like a revisionists history. Since he is great in the pros, it must follow that he was one of the greats in the Big 12.
Colt’s college career will forever be remembered by that injury in the Rose Bowl. I suspect if he had stayed healthy and won that game, Griffin would have him in the top 5.
I agree, that list reads like revisionist history.
I always thought Peterson had a dissapointing college career. One of those guys you knew would be better in the NFL than in college.

That list is a joke
The winningest quarterback in college football history only comes in at #10? That’s pathetic.
