Please Read Music City Miracles Before You "Break News!"

This is becoming an ever increasing issue here at MCM. I am not sure if everybody just wants to "be the one" who breaks the news or are just not paying attention, but we are ending up with fanpost after fanshot after fanpost "breaking" the same news that we talked about yesterday or the day before, or even just posted in the Links.

Star-divide

We are not trying to be dickish here, nor do we want to stop everybody from contributing. We know all too well that the more people contribute, the better Music City Miracles is gonna be. So don't stop breaking that news, just read the site to see if we have already talked about it, or, if you want to elaborate on a specific point concerning the news, create a fanpost and make your point.

A good rule of thumb to remember is if you have a link or picture or quote, go for the fanshots. If you want to write a 4 paragraph diatribe about why we should trade for Anquan Boldin, go for the fanposts. If you have to put "word words words I hate the word limit words words" in your fanpost, you probably should be doing a fanshot. The best fanposts and fanshots are always promoted to the front page.

And don't forget, if it is not pressing that everybody find out about it RIGHT NOW (like JEFF FISHER FIRED!!!!! /wishful thinking), then shoot an email to ADub at mcmaugustwest@gmail.com. I promise he is gonna give you a tip of the hat and make you famous!

And don't forget to follow Music City Miracles on Twitter! http://twitter.com/TitansMCM

If you have to put “word words words I hate the word limit words words” in your fanpost, you probably should be doing a fanshot.

You just said if you want to write a 4 paragraph diatribe to do it in a fanpost … does that not mean you have a larger word limit on a fanpost than you do a fanshot?

Yes, there is a larger word limit in a fanpost.

But what we see a lot in a fanpost is this:

http://www.reallygoodlinkaboutthetitans.com

I found this link and thought you would all be interested.

Since there is a 75 word limit in a fanpost I have to add more words so I can post it. words word word word word word.

And it will keep on like that until the system will allow it to be posted. Therefore, if you just have a link, or just a simple thought to share, you should use a fanshot.

And that is not a real link, but I be makin it so real I confuse the internets!

Also

Does that mean I can’t post my article on the Titans drafting Vince Young?

We haven't talked about that in a while

So if you have something to say, let’s hear it!

And I get a feeling you are screwing with me here. What we are trying to do is just clean it up a little. We continue to get fanposts and fanshots all “breaking” the same exact news and it starts to clutter up the site. We welcome all contributions and discussions that are original, though.

Yeah

I’m screwin. Bored at work. But actually I guess there will be room to discuss the drafting of VY until he retires. Now I’ll have to come up with something.

I'm not in a good place today.

I feel like training for cage fighting like Gary Busey.

What about the Tennessee Texans?

Best of both worlds.

IMO

It’s not that far from us being called the Tennessee Oilers for two years. But don’t get me wrong, I hate Texas and I voted against GWB.
