MCM website = showtime?

Wow, the ads on MCM are getting a bit much. All that stuff in the sidebars and right hand column, header etc. is starting to make me dizzy. Can we contribute a yearly membership fee (optional) and make it stop? Not a huge deal, but it does distract from the content.

Also, don't know if others have noticed, but if you leave a firefox browser on MCM for awhile, it locks up your browser. Smells like a memory leak, probably javascript. I'm not sure if it's platform specific; I'm on a mac.

Download Adblock Plus (it’s free) to Firefox. Voila, all the ads are gone.

another option for those of you not using Firefox

switch to Wide View (on the right of this page, on the left of the home page) and most of the ad will disappear

Unfortunately stuff like this comes along from time to time. SB Nation can’t afford to turn it down, because like everyone else, their ultimate goal is to make money. I don’t like it either. It will be gone tomorrow I think.

I have adblock turned on at home in any case, and never noticed it there. I just happened to be on a different PC without adblock today and hit the site.
