Titans TE Jared Cook Misses Practice and is Questionable for Pittsburgh
A day after I thought all of my injury concers were over, @tnsports is reporting that Jared Cook missed practice today and is questionable for Thursday night against the Steelers. What I don't understand is he wasn't mentioned on the injury report yesterday, but then he didn't practice today and is mentioned.
This is obviously not good news since we are already short-handed in the passing game. Hopefully he will have a solid turn around between now and Thursday.

Grrr......
Well,
We need CJ to have a helluva game, and the defense to impress. It’s that simple. Let’s hope Fisher has a few fun tricks up-his-sleeve, to boot.
The gimpy WR corps will get 9-10 days to recover after Week One’s (Thursday’s) game. That should be time to mend any minor boo-boos.

I'm gonna dissent and say, "No big deal."
I mean, I wish he could play and all, but first off, it’s only one game, and second, there’s no telling how much time he was actually gonna get on the field, but I doubt that it was gonna be very much barring injury.
The Titans typically play two-TE sets, and those two TEs were gonna be Scaife and Crumpler. On heavy rushing downs, they’ll bring in Stevens, not Cook. Now where you might have seen him was on four+ WR sets, but how many of those did you really expect to see?

agreed
given Fisher and Dinger’s history, I don’t know that he’d get enough reps to light the world on fire this early in the season… Washington would be more of a loss if he isn’t 100%.

I just figured...
we would be so far ahead by the 3rd that most of our rookies and second string would be in.
Joking aside, I agree with you on this one DannoE. While I would like to see Cook on the field, I doubt he would have got many plays this game anyway.
ugh ...damn
this made my stomach hurt…maybe a “relief” tactic to f with the steelers

On a brighter side
Fisher:
(on Nate Washington)
He was limited in practice today. I’m pleased with where he is.
(on if Nate Washington will play Thursday)
I imagine he’ll probably be a game-time decision.
(on if Nate Washington will play in less than a full role)
There’s a potential for him to not play at all, a potential to play a few plays and a potential to play 60 (minutes). I don’t know.
