Titans Expectations and Prayers versus the Steelers
TITANS FOOTBALL STARTS IN FOUR DAYS!!!!
If that right there isn't good enough for most Titans fans to read this post I don't know what is.
Hi all I'm new to the FanPost aspect to for the MCM fansite but I decided to try out my luck with a series of expectations and prayers for the Titans game that I believe need to happen.
Do you smell that? That's the stench of sweat, blood, and hardwork all coming together to start the beginning of the National Football League 2009-2010 season. Up first we have the Superbowl Champions the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Steel City. This is more than just a game to everyone involved. It's retribution for everything that happened last year. The "Terrible Towel" stomping to the known lost chance in the playoffs. This game is going to be special.
In the words of a great movie "SHOW ME YOUR WAR FACE!"
Now lets get started on my Expectations and Prayers list (enter shameless self promotion here)
EXPECTATIONS
1. The Titan's run game to be on track with ALL the reps going to the starters.
2. The front four of KVB, Tony Brown, Jason Jones, and The Freak to get extreme pressure on Big Ben.
3. No Turnovers on Offense or Special Teams
4. Cortland Finnegan to have an interception by the games end
5. Jeff Fisher shows us why he is the best coach in the league without a ring, by a mile.
I believe that ALL of these things are going to happen in this game. With more reps and a week off the starters seem more primed than ever to make an extreme appearance.
Going against the Steelers offensive line the front four should be able to manhandle Ben.
Turnovers will decide the game, so Fisher is pushing the importance of ball control.
I think Finnegan will have himself a monster of a game and will be the first DB to record an interception this season.
Prayers
1. I hope that none of the starting DB's get hurt because it might just spell the end for our playoff run.
2. A playmaker to emerge in Justin Gage.
3. Nate Washington is able to play in the game.
4. The kickoff return team to get upfield in a hurry.
5. Jared Cook comes out and is a stud rookie.
I think that if Justin Gage comes out and does what he did in the playoffs versus the Ravens, then this season will be GOOD.
I sincerely hope Washington comes back by Thursday. Wouldn't it be amazing for him to play All Out against his former team?
If the kickoff team gets good field position then we might win this game easily.
I know, I know, Jared Cook is already a stud rookie, but until he can show me he can do it in the regular season my stance will stay the same.
Well that's it with this edition of EXPECTATIONS AND PRAYERS. Please comment with how I can make this better or how good it already is. Thanks.
BTW, This blog is not intended to be religious or offensive in any way. If you would like me to change the name I will but I thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

The only expectation I want to come true
Is that we win the game and leave those towel waving pansies crying again!

What I expect....
…and what I hope are two very different things right now.
But after listening to the incessant whining over that yellow toilet paper they brought into OUR house………I’m about ready to vote to make stomping it a pre-game tradition for every Titans’ game, every week. Think of it like Notre Dame players hitting the “play like a champion today” sign when leaving the locker room…………….
Seriously, I want LenDale to stomp that towel after winning in Pittsburgh. Please beat these rag-obsessed, compulsive whiners, PLEASE!!!!

i am so freaking ready to see my Titans take the field
Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kiddin' you.
