Yes, odd indeed. Some of these things don't make any sense.
Plexico Burress just got screwed over in my opinion. He gets two years for shooting himself in the leg in a nightclub. I realize and understand he needed to pay a price but that is crazy. Give him two months and a bunch of community service. My brother and a friend were killed in a car accident several years ago by a drunk truck driver who crossed over the line. The trucker (who had prior drunk driving arrests ) got two years in the State pennitentry . Make an example out of Burress, sure I agree, but he didn’t take anyones life.

I saw a chart somewhere of the penalties by state for this....
New York was pretty much the worst State for Plax to get caught doing this in.
Some States he would have gotten 6 months or potentially probation.
