One thing Rex can certainly do better than his dad, Buddy: eat.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Titans aren't using the Wildcat, plain and simple.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Paul K takes a look at how the Titans' defense can get better, and here's most of the conclusion:

Simply put, defensive backs need to cover better. As Jeff Fisher said Monday, "when a player gets beat one on one, it has nothing to do with the game plan or the calls or so on and so forth."

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Today's Jam is my favorite hip-hop group of all time: Blackstar (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) doing Definition.

Follow us through the jump to discover how you can have a Hall of Fame worthy performance yet not be player of the week...

Star-divide

Tennessee_titans_30x21 So Chris Johnson gets asked to put his shoes in the Hall of Fame, but he can't even get player of the week!?!??!!!

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Ahmard Hall is ready to renew a very competitive rivalry with former Raven and current Jet Bart Scott.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Tennessean does a chat with a Jets blog?  How very original....

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Jets QB Mark Sanchez has some knee soreness that could effect him Sunday, and the Jets in general have a lot of names on their injury list.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 This New York game will be a homecoming of sorts for 1st round pick Kenny Britt.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Commenter and blogger Rustmeister has some thoughts on the game, and on whiny Titans fans.

Blackstar

is just awesome! Great choice.
Btw. I hope our only problem on defense is that we cant cover good enough.

Hey, i got a shoutout on Rustmeister's blog!

Woot!
Some gameday thread commenters need to check themselves.

There is no need to make everything rainbows and unicorns, but there is also no need to apocalyptically gloom and doom two games into a 16 game season.

No kidding

The Titans have a good squad. Cecil will have the defense ready to chew some nails on Sunday.

Titans need to make Sanchez look like a rookie.

The replays of the game show what one poor step can do to a pass defense. Griffin bites on the run fake and that’s all a good WR needs to fly past him.

Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

Wait a minute Rust.
Namely, they’ve gotten themselves some weeny-whiney poo-butt commenters over there who can’t handle a loss and have no perspective whatsoever.

It’s not A loss. It’s two losses. One of which involved losing giving up 34 points to the TEXANS. And, when the goal is a Super Bowl, that’s unacceptable. There has to be some accountability.

Yeah, like I said, it was damn near traumatizing

But declaring the season over is way too much. We should at least call for the coaching staff to be tarred and feathered first. =)

Thanks for the link

Hopefully future postings will be more upbeat.

I’ve already had a Texans fan over there, too. Told him we’d have a better win-loss record than them by the time we meet again is week 11. ;-)

Callers to radio shows are already spouting the stupid

“Man, it’s time fer Fisher to go!”. “Bulluck and VanDenBosch are washed up and slow!”. “Nick Harper don’t know what he’s doin out thar!”

Actually, he might have a point with Harper. Great zone player, questionable man-to-man.

Admittedly, I get a little tired of the “keep the score close, kick a figgie to win it as time expires” offense. Hard to argue with the results, though.

Jason Jones is going to show Sanchez what some Titans’ D is all about!

Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

our secondary....

just needs to relax and know that we are able to stop the run with our front, then they can start to make plays again. b/c this is not griff’s game and i know it will not continue for much longer.

Exactly!

That’s what we have linebackers for.

yezzir.....and....

once we start firing on all cylinders, opposing offenses better buckle up, because its gonna be a bumpy ride.
