Tennessee Titans vs. New York Jets Series at a Glance
The Titans should have no problems getting up for this game when you consider that the Jets came to LP Field last season and beat down the Titans 34-13, the last time the Titans saw Rex Ryan he was putting out a hit on Chris Johnson, and, oh yeah, the Titans are 0-2. This is as much of a must win game as you can have in week 3 of an NFL season.
This game will mark the first regular season game where the Titans will wear the throwback uniforms making this the Oilers vs. the Titans.
The Titans lead the overall series between these two franchises 22-16-1 (the tie came on October 15, 1967). The Jets have a 10-6-1 home advantage. The last time the Titans played at The Meadowlands was December 1, 2003 when they lost 24-17 (big day for McSuckins). Jeff Fisher is 4-4 all time against the Jets.
This game will be broadcast on CBS with Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf handling the commentary.

This is also the game that the announcers are supposed to call the Titans the Oilers and the Jets the Titans.
Should be fun.
Official MCM Hater!
Retire #9!
Only because it will confuse the casual viewer.
And probably also the announcers.
I think it’s cute, I just don’t think it will work very well.
I wonder if...
This game will get the national broadcast treatment. I got to see the Titans 2 games in a row, so I’m a bit spoiled. Of course based on their record, maybe I shouldn’t watch them anymore….
From SI
The game announcers on CBS will supposedly treat things as if it were 1960, which means calling the Jets the Titans and the Titans the Oilers. That should be fun, as everyone listening tries to figure out if they’re talking about the old Titans or the new Titans.

Not fun
The dumbest thing I have ever heard.
Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.
Go watch the Jest games Versus the Pats and Texans.....
…That way you won’t be shocked at the complete rofllstomping the Jets D is going to put on your offense.
Not kidding.
Consider that they have held the Texans and Pats to ZERO offensive touchdowns in their first 2 games.
Anyway, I hope you do beat them because I don’t want to see the division get dominated by them.
