Week 3 NFL Power Rankings: The Uh-Oh Edition

Rankings for Week 3 after the jump. Our average spot is 15.5, and we deserve that until we prove otherwise.
NFL.com's "experts" ranked us at #17, despite Joe Theissman ranking us 7th, and Bucky Brooks 25th.
We've dropped 7 spots in ESPN's rankings, who puts us at 16.
Mistake-filled first two weeks are fueling those critics who predicted a big drop-off after a 13-3 season. (Kuharsky)
Yahoo! Sports drops us 14 to #17, but gives good commentary.
How can such a terrific secondary look so helpless – and is it fair to say new defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil needs to figure that out very, very quickly?
Pro Football Weekly drops us 8 spots to #16
Not the way Super Bowl hopefuls laid out the blueprint.
CBS Sportsline drops us 14 spots to #21, wondering what happened to our feistiness.
They opened last season 10-0 and are staring 0-3 in the face with a trip this week to play the Jets. What happened to the defense? Where has all the nastiness gone?
Fox Sports still believes in us. They place us at #12.
NO WORRIES: Kerry Collins is acting like he can still bring it, even at age 86 or whatever. Plus, RB Chris Johnson is disgustingly good. TIME TO WORRY: Since their unlikely 10-0 start last season, the Titans are 3-6 (including their '08 playoff loss).
The Sporting News's Power Poll drops us 8 to #14, with the most true statement I have read.
Starting 0-2 is concerning. Their game at the Jets on Sunday is one they need badly.
What if Sports's unique "Power Predictions" surprisingly raises us 3 spots to #11.

Power rankings are so stupid
What exactly are they ranking? I mean, yeah, yay-rah go titans and all that, but, as a for-instance, Yahoo! ranks the Titans 2 spots AHEAD of the team that just beat us and 4 spots AHEAD of the AFC-west division-leading Broncos, who did beat the Bengals who themselves beat the Packers, so then by association that makes them good, right?
It’s enough to make my head explode. Suffice to say that the Titans are in the shit-house until they can win a ball game, regardless of who the losses came from.
All that said, nice wrapup- I enjoyed seeing all the different rankings together in one place to comment on which ones were idiots (those that ranked us bottom half) and those that were geniuses (top half ftw!) ;^)

I truly, truly hate.....
early season power rankings……
….ALMOST as much as ranking (OFFICIALLY in college’s case – it actually COUNTS) college football teams before a single game has been played
