We need VY Now
I know its too early, but KC is looking like his old self. 2 costly turnover, can't hold on to the ball, throws away on 4th and 6, list goes on and on. I know our d was bad, but come on. Plus our D problem is chuck. fire him. and what's wrong with fisher, calling to go for it when he got the ball on the 30 line, why not kick the FG? I'm just mad. If they keep playing like that, 0-6 start is inevitable.

I would find this fanpost funny if it wasn't from someone who just registered
any regulars out there calling for VY?
It's not just your perceptions that can be wrong. Even your memory is often incomplete or possibly flat out wrong.
Kerry HAD A GOOD DAY!!!!
he just choked under the pass rush, HE SCARED TO TAKE that HIT!!!!!! but still a SMARTER CHOICE THAN VINCE…
This is crazy.
No. He didn’t. You don’t turn the ball over 2 times in a game AND only average 6.5 YPA, which is skewed to begin with because of CJ’s 70 yard TD.
This loss isn’t on Kerry. It’s on the defense. There is no excuse for losing when you put up 31 points. But, let’s not kid ourselves. Kerry didn’t have a “good day”.
Kerry had a good day?
You believe that Kerry Collins had a good day, I got some beach front property in Idaho I can sell you. VINCE NEVER LOST TO THE TEXANS!!! I do believe he had the most TD passes in the preseason.

It is going to be near impossible....
…to get some folks to admit Kerry’s culpability in recent losses. i do not understand why their is such a completely blind eye for some people when it comes to KC, but it’s real. He can do no wrong – even when he does, he can’t.

It's not blindness, Kerry played a bad game.
But he’s just not the biggest problem right now, and switching QBs in no way guarantees future success.
How would Vince Young have stopped our defense from givin up 34 points?
He wouldn't have......
…..but he can play the last two minutes of a game, and we’ll need that this year.

I do not recall
ever getting blown out with Vince behind center.

Hmm...
I stand corrected. It did happen.
But it was an outlier, as most games were close – and he won much more than he lost. And in the first year, he did it with the same team Kerry couldn’t.

By sustaining drives
Whether or not you think Vince CAN sustain drives is another issue, but if you have a QB who can do better than what Kerry was doing, you can help your defense quite a bit. It’s quite bizarre many people seem to think that defenses are not affected by how their own offense plays. Tennessee had one or two first downs the entire second half.

I've been thinkin about this too
Kerry is ok during the first 3 quarters but when we need him the most he never comes through,HE IS NOT A CLUTCH PLAYER,…The same thing happen when we faced the Steelers he couldnt make it happen in the 4th when he was blitz 3 plays in a row and then throws it out of bounds ,but vince would have kept them drives alive…if we had vince in i believe we would be ok because vince can keep drives alive with his legs when kerry cant…Kerry fumbles when no one is by him atleast 3 yds out and Vince would had gained yds with that run…Were only 0-2 so guys dont panic we should be ok…Go Titans
and another thing
Remember in 2006 when Kerry started and led our team to an 0-5 record at the start of the season? Then Vince comes in and we finish 8-8 and almost made the playoffs…Seems that this could happen again
Collins...
didn’t have a good game. CJ helped his numbers look descent. He did have a nice pass to Washington. I really don’t buy the whole “VY will keep those drives alive” argument. He is a playmaker….but he also makes his share of mistakes. He had a chance to lead us to victory in the Charger playoff game and had a horrible 4th quarter. That’s irrelevant though. I like Collins, he is the “safe” choice….but I’m 1 or 2 losses away from saying “let’s see if VY can revive himself now”. I think next week will be a huge factor in the rest of the team’s season. However….if we don’t stop someone on defense, it won’t matter who our QB is. One other random thought…..why don’t we ever throw deep?!?!?
well gotitans27
i believe that the jets our gonna blitz and blitz and blitz all day long…and that is very bad for kerry since we all know what kerry does when he gets blitz
if we can beat the jets i think we will be ok
I dont think Mark Sanchez will have that big of a game on us but you never know
IF
CJ didnt play in this game i believe the score would have been texans 40-0
VY would have found a way in 4th quarter
to beat Texans. He always does.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
i think we are in trouble.vy is a bust and kerry collins sucks.he sucked in 2006 and he sucks now.last year are defense got us 13 -3 record not kerry.our entire secondary looked bad especially nick harper.it dosnt look like our pro bowl secondary.i think the titans are missing their defensive coordinator.damn lions
what I've been sayin' all the time
How soon we forget that Terry Bradshaw had bad track record prior to the drafting of Swann and Stallworth. Jeff Fisher need to send Cecil his walking papers and try to get another corner and put Harper as a nickelback. When they signed him they knew he is only a Cover Two cornerback. SIGN MATT JONES and let him and VY run some type of the WildCat. Kerry had Randy Moss in Oakland and still couldn’t get the job done. Kerry’s best years were in Carolina (and you know how long that’s been)
MrDeeboi33
I'll be honest with you
I was with you until the word “wildcat”
Can't "manage" anymore
We had a great Defense to fall back on last season. But this is a new season, and the defense sucks. Kerry can’t “manage” games anymore. He has to find ways to win ball games. That is what Vince was known, he always found ways to get W’s. If we go 0-3, Vince will be back come week 4 if not sooner.
When we score 31 pts
and lose, the QB is not the problem. Collins was solid (63% completions) except for the fumble, and every QB makes some mistakes. If we bring in VY, we’re not going to suddenly get error-free football.

The fumble...
….the INT, the fourth-down throw-away, the underthrows, the throwing-over-the-middle with time expiring (thank goodness for C).
He’s making bad throws, bad decision, panicking, and making turnovers EVERY game now. Put VY in, and let’s see what we’ve got.

It's not good logic
Judging a QB’s performance on completion % alone. By that reasoning, VY had a good year in 2007.

+1
Let’s see what VY can do, because we’re going to have to make a big decision on him at the end of the year. There is no point making that HUGE decision from his bench play.
Plus, we’re not even getting the itsy-bitsy, very little bit of positive we were advertised about Collins right now. He’s making bad throws, bad decisions, and turning the ball over every game. He’s panicking, losing track of the game clock, and being careless with the ball. When was the last game Collins didn’t have a TO?
At least Vince has upside, and there are games he can carry by himself. Right now, you simply cannot convince me Collins gives us anything Vince does not. Even the “game manager” schtick is unveiled by the recent reality of his play. VY has the ability to boost this team like no other player on the roster – and with six losses in our last eight games, this looks much the opportunity to change the team’s direction that had him bring us a fantastic finish a few years ago.
I say, put VY in, Cook in, Britt it, Mouton in – and let’s see what we’ve got.

0-16.
Official MCM Hater!
Retire #9!
Based on what?
VY’s winless career, Cook and Britt’s overraterd ability, or Mouton’s?
None of the above are true. VY can win, Cook and Britt can contribute, and Mouton can’t be worse than Harper right now.

Im going to stick with collins it’s too early turn on him if by week five or six he hasn’t shown what he needs to i say give vince a try. but until then……………………..SIGN A DAMN PUNT RETURNER1
Que Where?!?!

WOW
As a Texans fan, I hope you play VY. Maybe that will put the Titans out of the picture this year.
VINCE YOUNG GROUPIES:
notice how every fan of another team who comes here practically begs for vince to play? why do you think that is? what is it about football that they understand and you don’t? questions to consider.

Vince can help us...
if he learns how to play in the secondary
I for one am not ready to bench KC
As it stands at the current time I still think that Kerry gives us the best chance of winning. I do agree that Vince has a special skill set that is intriguing however his lack of reading defense still worries me. If the season does not take a turn for the better by week 6 than I would say what the hell start VY. I guess if Collins does not work out we better find out exactly where we stand with VY because if he is not the future that the coaches would lead us to beleive, we better start looking for the next qb in the draft.
