Tennessee Titans Morning Links: AFC South Just Got A Lot Crabbier Edition
Steve Slaton had some decent success against us last year: he was the only player to break the 100 yard mark, and he did it twice. This time around our defense has a bit of an axe to grind, and they're making it a mission to stop him from getting to that total again. The topic is such a hot button with the D that Tully wrote about it on his blog.
Chris Johnson knows that the key to getting more carries in this offense is to keep the offense on the field longer, so this week there's a lot of emphasis on being successful on first and second down so that the third downs we do encounter are short yardage situations.
If this doesn't get to you, then you need to have a little more love in your life. That's a damned fine thing Vince Young did.
As important as our TEs are, it's never good news when we're actually short on bodies at the position during practice. There is hope that Cook will be able to play Sunday, but Bo is almost certainly out of the mix for a few weeks.
Bo may be out because of a hit he thinks was dirty, but the man who threw that hit, James Harrison, couldn't care less.
Chris Johnson has his own T-Shirts available [ed. note: maybe someone can more clearly explain his whole 'I have no home' thing to me. I've been just going with it, but it's a little confusing.], and you can get pics of them via his Twitter page. The plan is to have them in local stores and on his website very soon.
Could this be the game where we see a little of the (good) Kerry of old?
Clearly making a shift away from their prior emphasis on getting smart players who make good decisions, the Colts have signed Hank Baskett. Baskett is probably best known as the guy who married Hugh Hefner's seconds, since nobody really noticed his lackluster career with the Eagles. Sounds just like a Dungy guy doesn't it?

about that interesting collins prediction
It could happen especially with Washington and possibly Cook back, even though to be honest Collins doesn’t have a great history going against Houston, i expect to see Cris Johnson go over 100 yards and a few touchdowns.
You're not wrong walter, you're just an asshole.
This could be the game where he actually throws for 300 and 3 tds
I think the Texans will overstack the line to stop CJ this week.
Collins didn’t become a 220 yd QB until last year with the Titans. I think the Texans have some holes to exploit in the secondary and we’ve already seen that Heimerdinger will call for the deep ball.
As stated in the article, Collins has the ability to light up the sky. He just needs the right opportunity and this is his week.

what is with the chris johnson homeless thing?
i dont understand either… and by the way those t-shirts are hideous they look like they were designed on microsoft word.
As I understand it
CJ just lives in hotels and doesn’t own his own house or apartment, and on one of his many uStream broadcasts, he brought up the saying “Go Hard or Go Home”, and he said he has no choice but to go hard because he has no home (due to him living out of hotels all year). That’s what I think it is, but with how hard it is to understand him, I could be WAY off.

My personal Tribute to Air McNair
that's what I just started to piece together this morning
it makes way more sense paired with ‘go hard or go home’. I’m pretty sure lives at the Maxwell House Millennium hotel over by the training facility… a lot of the younger guys do that.

from his tweets
when he says “I have no home” or “I am homeless” he is trying to say that he goes hard on anything, whether on the gym, practice or games.
GO HARD OR GO HOME. I HAVE NO HOME
IMO “I have no home” is always better than saying “I am hard”. :-p

Very cool thing done by Vince
We take a lot of shots at him as a football player, but we have to give him props for the man he is off the field

Even though I'm a big UT fan
I give VY all kinds of hell, because I’m a Texans fan first… but even I have been giving him some love for that gesture.
I really hope he leaves the Titans so I can root for him again.

Texans?
It was nice what Young did. I too give him all kinds of hell but then again I give just as much to the texans. Y’all need to come on over to a winning team like I don’t know, The Colts. It might be nice to root for a team that can do something. Oh well, your loss
Great thing that he did.
It’s nice to see that the kids still have someone.

I'm hardly a Vince Young fan,
but what he did for Steve’s kids was really special. Kudos to #10 for that.
If I die
don’t let any spoiled, mentally weak, athletes raise my children. Better off in foster care.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
Colts
Tennessee would know nothing about the colts so why try analyzing what they are doing. Don’t forget that the titans didnt know how to win against the colts let alone anybody for how many years. How’s that for a dose for reality titans.
Go Colts!!!
wha?
the hell are you talking about? The only three years we struggled against you guys was when we blew-up the team and had to rebuild. Before and after that short window it’s been an extremely close series.
Don’t get it twisted just because you are stuck in 2004.
