MCM Play of the Week (Week 1)

Well, not exactly how we all wanted the game to end up but we can take a few positives out of it. Same drill as last time: 4 videos posted after the jump and poll after that. Enjoy!
A. The first video is Vincent Fuller's interception on Ben Roethlisberger. He made a great play on a ball that I just thought was overthrown and out of bounds. He gave the offense great field position (and get ready to hear this all week) that they couldn't take advantage of.
B. The second video is Kenny Britt's 57-yard reception from Kerry Collins. Welcome to the NFL Rookie! Collins made a great pump fake and underthrew it a little bit but Britt adjusted and racked up some YAC. This set up the next play for a TD.
C. The third video is Justin Gage's 14-yard TD reception from Kerry Collins. This looks like the same exact play that they had against the Cowgirls. Great pass and catch thanks to the Squeelers secondary. This capped off a really nice, quick drive and tied it up before the half.
D. Last, we have have Michael Griffin's forced fumble on Hines Ward. I'm sure everybody else was thinking the same thing I was when it happened:"Sh**, F$$$, Dammit!!!!!!1111!!!............................ OH GOD YES!" If the Titans could have found a way to win in overtime this play would have been even bigger.
Don't forget to Vote! Hopefully one of next week's videos will be of the Titan's offense in the "V" formation!

The Morning After
I feel good about the game last night.
Basically, we lost it on special teams. period, exclamation point
Good
1. Collins looked great. I’m very thankful we have him leading our team right now.
2. Britt showed why we drafted him first round – congratulations kid
3. Offensive line continues to be the top in the league
Bad
1. Unforced errors – missed FG’s, Big Country penalties, incomplete passes
2. Lack of pressure at the end of the 2nd quarter, end of the 4th quarter – to me, the defensive linemen looked tired, winded
3. Lack of aggressive defensive play calling – for Big Ben to sit back in the pocket so long, you would think some corner blitzes or safety blitzes would have helped?

I like the rotation of our Linemen, I really feel they are capable
but I think the no huddle really hurts us because we can’t keep the rotation up and fresh legs on the field that the D-line requires

Yeah, but if we are this bad in the no-huddle then it's a major issue.
Because that’s the Colts’ base offense.

I didn't think Collins looked great
He made some plays, but overall, it was nothing special. He had a few off target throws, that interception was a bad throw, and he panicked and threw the ball away on one play when he had an open receiver. Other than that, he was fine; the Titans needed to protect him better, because as an old man now, he can’t get away from such a rush. The other times he threw the ball away he was doing the smart thing because he was screwed otherwise.

You sum it up nicely with "D," Michaeltastic.
I was thinking something very similar to yours. If Giff hadn’t made that play, we would have lost then and there.
Alas, we followed it up by losing in OT, but oh well.

But stop at 5
so we can have the play of the week rec’d for the week, and then the new one can go up and be in rec’d posts the next week

I have never seen
the Titans try to score with 40 seconds left in either half of a game ever.

When tied or with a lead, you mean.
I can think of some occasions when they were trying to score at the end of a half while behind…

When most people rank plays they include both teams ......
….. but you guys have always been a different type of group.
The strip on Ward was obviously huge but where would you rank Troy P’s 1 handed pick?

In case you missed the sign on the way in
this is a Titans blog. Why would we vote for a Steelers’ play?

I'd rank Troy's pick at one.
Just sayin.

hines fumble definitely
That was the top play to put the team in position to win..and then they epically failed with the play calling on that next possession.
That fumble could have changed the game..and to wipe that smile off his face while he was running was priceless!!

My personal favorite
is 12 Gage owning a Steelers fan at the end of his touchdown.

best pump fake of the game
Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...

Griffin just plain tomohawked it from Wards hand whicj is difficult because Ward doesn’t fumble often
