Community Projections : 2009 Season Record
The individual player projections are over. You can view all of your projections in a spreadsheet here.
Today we are going to project the overall record of the Titans in 2009. We have a tough schedule early on, playing Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and New England all within the first seven weeks. The Titans will get a much needed rest in their Week 8 bye week, after playing four of the first six games on the road. For the second straight season the Titans will match up against six teams that made the playoffs last year. The end of the season eases up a bit, playing non-playoff teams Jacksonville, San Francisco, Buffalo, St. Louis, and Seattle in the last ten weeks.
After the jump is this year's complete schedule. Go ahead and chime in in the comments with your prediction.

9-7. I hope I’m wrong. But, I think the defense will see some drop off with the loss of Albert Haynesworth. I worry about whether our offense can perform when we are playing from behind and are forced to pass.

(The individual wins and losses might change, but I think we come out of those first 6 games 4-2.)

In the end, I think we split the series with Jacksonville and Indy, and go down to San Diego (we always seem to lose to San Diego) but feast on some bad teams in the second half of the year and win the division.
12-4

Pete Rose was actually banned from baseball for teaching Jeff Francoeur how to play. He made up the gambling stuff to hide his shame.

Much more optimistic than I usually am at start of a season, but really I think we’re better than last year, and the schedule doesn’t look that bad as long as they don’t slump in the road stretch early.
Nice spreadsheet! Google docs is da bomb.

with the one loss coming against Seattle like last year’s pseudo-but-still-counts-loss to Indy.
Yeah I said it.

I'll agree with the majority @ 11-5.
The classic “trap” game is @ San Francisco. They’re gonna drop that one for sure.
