Tennessee Titans Morning Links: She Asked Me If We Could Be Friends And I Said, Oh, Honey Baby Thats A Dead End Edition
RE-SIGN. KEITH. BULLUCK. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why am I so keen re-signing Bulluck? Because whomever they bring in to replace him could Never Take the Place of Your Man, just ask The Eels (and Prince, who did the song originally).
Saturday will be the first snap Vince Young has taken at LP Field since he was booed out of a starting position injured in last year's opener. VY says he isn't nervous about it, and for all of ours' sake I hope he's telling the truth. Vince has been guilty of listening to the outside world too much on occasion, so this should be a good test of his ability to block-out those distractions on play ball.
Follow us through the jump to find out how Kevin Mawae's rehab is going...
Kenny Britt is talking about wanting to be like Larry Fitzgerald and other stars, and he's certainly got the talent. Now the question is is Britt giving us Larry's guns and hands, but (at least so far) Kevin Dyson's hammy?
Kevin Mawae is making progress in the rehabilitation of his elbow stemming from off-season surgery, and feels confident he will be ready by the season opener on Sept. 10th. When I was at practice last Tuesday he was working with some of the reserve D-linemen after practice sans pads. He looked good, but was still in some pain in that elbow.
Jim Wyatt isn't so confident that Mawae will be ready by the season opener. If that's the case, then it's good that LeRoy Harris is working with the first string all through the off-season, but who is going to be his back-up should he get hurt?
Alge Crumpler took dance lessons this off-season to improve his balance, footwork and macking abilities.
If you're coming out to the game Saturday night, the Titans want you to bring any 'gently worn' shoes you have laying around to donate to the excellent charity Soles4Souls.
Titans beat scribe for the A.P., Teresa M. Walker, writes about Chuck Cecil's preparation for his first season as a defensive coordinator.

VY says
"I’m not really feeding into that no more. That’s over with. That’s done. That wasn’t the whole stadium that was booing. That was a couple of people."
Now, while I wasn’t one of the boo birds that day, from my seat in section 306 it certainly sounded like many, many more than “a couple of people.”
I hope the guy does well on Saturday.
I'm sure the sounds was amplified
by all of the booing and cursing going on in bars and homes across middle Tennessee… it’s often forgotten that those boos were the culmination of a pretty miserable preseason from Vince which led up to that performance.
Still, I’m with you, all we want is to see him succeed because then everybody wins!

Hey, thanks!
I’ve been following the Twitter feed for a while now, but just started commenting. Griffin is, certifiably, ’da man.
Ear Muffs....
that’s what he needs. because then they can say whatever they want…f*ck, s**t, bi**h….c*ck, b*lls.
"Waiting for the return of the Mac"
"Let VY loose, give him the chance to play his heart out. for himself, for the titans...and for mcnair"
Re: Britt Article
He’s not a shifty guy that has great lateral quickness like a (Wes) Welker or like a Marvin Harrison used to have
Lol, say something, BBS.

Lets not jump the gun
A fair amount of rookies have hamstring problems in their first pro practices because of the difference.

Agreed
it’s just that with our track record with WR draft picks it’s easy to be hyper-sensitive to those soft tissue injuries that seem to linger, and we all really want to see Britt contribute this year.

You guys will hate me for saying this...
But sign Bulluck and use him to trade up for Sergio Kindle. We have 2 dynamite OLB’s, but our window for a super bowl will be open longer than they will be able to perform.
PS> I freakin LOVE Keith Bulluck
Sergio
Sergio would be nice… But call me crazy.. But depending on how vy plays this year..if he is even given a chance..maybe we can pull a JETS stunt and trade up to get Colt Mccoy or Jevan Sneed..justa thought…cause we all know jeff can coach up 2nd day draft picks..but sergio would be nice..I’m from the austin area..he would be a nice addtion to our linbacker core..keep our super bowl window open as long as we can..

I usually download the pics to my desktop, and then when I upload it to MCM, I just copy it from my desktop.
It usually works pretty easy.

Retire #9!
Gramsey's suggestion should work
but for some things, like a fanshot, you can host the image from a service like flickr.com, and link it from that URL if you’re having problems uploading

I'll be at the Tampa preseason game
and plan on booing VY vigorously. Just kidding. I’m not very loud anyway; even if I did boo only the people next to me would hear it, probably. I can’t see booing the team you’re rooting for even if they are playing crappy. I think to get to that point I’d have to sit through many seasons of consistently crappy play. If I lived in Detroit, I’d probably have exercised my boo muscles pretty well by now.
Looking forward to seeing Britt on the field.
