I'm very sad...
I really don't know what to say. I feel like I've lost a friend... I've been reading the blog for a day and a half now and still can't really put down the right words to express how I feel about this. I am heartbroken over losing one of my all time favorite players. Every Sunday I watched and rooted for this man with all of my heart. Like others have said he played the game the way it was supposed to be played. He treated others the way people really should. He lived life the way people should live their lives, generously and enjoyably. As far as I'm concerned he may be the toughest player to ever to wear an NFL uniform. I will never watch a game again and not think of Steve McNair and the things he did for our organization and the people surrounding him.
As a lot of you know I was a huge Oiler fan... We had some down years, I hold a real soft spot for guys like McNair and Eddie for all of the hard work and dedication they gave to get this team back to respectability. I shouldn't even say that, they gave this Franchise more respectability than it ever had. He has done so much for so many he will surely be missed for years and years. Thoughts and prayers to his family, his friends, his fans, and anyone whose lives he made an impact on including mine.
Steve Air McNair you will truly be missed. You made me proud to be a Titan fan...

Better than I’ve been able to.
I’m sad too, this has been a very bittersweet weekend.

More than a guy.
When my wife heard Michael Jackson died, she completely freaked out and wouldn’t believe it. I keep telling her, “He’s just a guy.” I had to apologize to her after I found out about McNair. I did not anticipate how his passing would affect me, but now I know how someone you’ve never met can be more than “Just a guy”
When the Oilers moved to Tennessee, I had just started watching NFL Football. When I found out that the Oilers’ QB went to Alcorn State, the deal was done. (My late Grandfather was a proud graduate of Alcorn State) McNair was the first jersey I ever bought, the first QB I rooted for, and he’s the standard I hold every QB to.
