2010 NFL Draft First Round Moved to Thursday Night
In a move that Roger Goodell claims is for the fans, the NFL has decided that the 2010 draft will kick off on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. eastern time. It will just be the first round on Thursday night. The second and third rounds will air on Friday night beginning at 7:30 eastern, and the fourth through seventh rounds will air Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. eastern.
This move is obviously not for the fans, but to get the draft in primetime so the NFL can make more money off of it.
(Hat tip to smash for pointing me to the story.)

Would be a good opportunity....
….to add an eighth round, too.
Mostly I hope for the “18 regular season games per team over 20 weeks” plan to come through, though.

Double Boo
I hate this move as it basically ends an three year tradition of Draft Party. This guy knows what I am talking about.
I think
It would be cool if it was a round a day for a week just because since that part of the year doesn’t have a lot of football storys we would talk about it for a week.
