Titans' Bulluck has no plans to stomp Terrible Towel again
Hey guys, haven't been here in a while. Just wanted to share this article I read on NFL.com about how Bulluck clearly regrets the towel incident .
http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d810ee653&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true
He started to answer, then turned around to his locker and pulled out a Terrible Towel from the Steelers' Super Bowl with a note sent to him dated Feb. 16. The note read: "On behalf of Steelers Nation, we would like to present you with our new Terrible Towel. Hang this up in your locker room. Sincerely, the Black and Gold P.S.: I hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl."

Tell you what....
let’s infiltrate Steelers’ field, waving annoying Titans paraphenalia.
Then when someone does something back, let’s all cry like babies for months on end.
We’ll call the new process “Steeler-ing”

"Cry like babies for months end"
That’s rich. Not one Steeler player or coach has mentioned anything about the “Incident” anytime recently or
anytime at all for that matter. Champions let their play do the talking. Funny how the Steelers have said
nothing about it while the Titans players are being goaded into talking about it by reporters. Just pathetic.
Maybe not though. I wouldn’t expect a team without any history or tradition to understand something like having an emblem for Steeler nation.
I gained a lot of respect for Cortland Finnegan when he condemned those actions. I guess we know now who the real douche was in the Finnegan/Bulluck on field spat last season.

No whining here
My point is that i find it funny that not one steeler player or coach has mentioned the incident while the Titans continue to talk about. Talking a lot of shit for a team that didn’t win a playoff game. Regular season Champs WOOOO!!!!!!
And Kerry Collins is your starting QB. The guy who never has posted two good back to back seasons in his entire career. Have fun with that.

So did ....
Big Ben ever get his motorcycle license or is he still just face diving the asphalt? I can pretty much promise you that playing against the Titans makes him re-live that experience because he is constantly kissing the dirt when your line falls apart.
Crack on Kerry all you want to. Fact of the matter is our D was our strong point and playing with backups we were still too much for your precious black and gold. We upgraded the O this year so lets see how much more you cry when you get embarassed on both sides of the ball.

If I remember correctly...
we put up close to 400 yards of offense in that game, turnovers notwithstanding. Titans like to act like that game was a blowout when that is nothing more than revisionist history. The game was still close in the 4th quarter and Michael Griffin thought he would be a punk and run a pick back when the sportsmanlike thing to do was to take a knee and run the clock out. I wouldn’t expect that though from the “Terrible Head Stompers.”

The whole reason for this article being posted was
that a Squeeler fan, less than two weeks after the Super Bowl, took the time and money to send Keith Bulluck a terrible carwash towel in the mail…with no return address.
But ya’ll are over it, right?

yes...
considering it was TWO WEEKS after the super bowl, i would say we are over it. I guess you
could say you upgraded your O but you vastly overpaid for Nate Washington. As a steeler fan
, i know that for a fact, not to say he won’t be good though. I could care less about on idiot
steeler fan sending bulluck a towel. My main point is that no steelers players are talking
about while the Titans are being goaded into talking about it by reporters.

No one ever said that Squeeler players ever talked about it.

it was implied
distinction between fan and player was not made. Steeler nation is collectivization of fans, players, and coaches. Again i wouldn’t expect a franchise that only has warren moon and earl campbell to be proud of to understand.

enlighten me. NEVER won a super bowl. you ran Eddie George out of town. You locked McNair out of your practice facility. Trust me, I’m from Nashville and have been to more games at Adelphia/LP than i have in Pittsburgh. I know Titans history.

proud of
Theres plenty of players to be proud of in the Franchise. Theres 7 players from the franchise in the HoF and plenty who will have their time.
NEVER won a super bowl
neither did Marino. You think Fins fans aren’t proud of him? You think he isn’t one of the greatest players of all time, much less their franchise?
Puhlease. Get out with this hogwash.

for an undrafted free agent who has never been a starter? I’ve watched Nate since he came in the league so trust me when i say you overpaid BUT that doesn’t mean you didn’t get a good player. I really think he will do nicely for ya’ll.

I'm here b/c...
I know a great deal about the Titans and their history as I’m from Nashville and most of my friends are Titans fans. I thought these fan sites are for discussion and bettering your football knowledge. Calling me a troll is dismissive and pathetic.

So are you illiterate, dyslexic or just can't read 6 whole paragraphs
because here’s what he actually said, and it doesn’t sound like regret at all to me:
“In all due respect, after we win, I definitely will not be stomping on any towels,” Bulluck said. “That’s just utter disrespect. The only reason why it happened was because they came into our house waving their 15,000 towels or whatever, and they travel well. They’re a proud organization. Steeler Nation they are, but we’re not too worried about it.”
The message is: don’t bring that crap into LP Field if you don’t want to get harassed when our guys blow your doors off.

I bet ya
the towel was soaked in the tears of the Squeeler Nation when he received it too. Maybe their players and coaches haven’t said much about it…but the fans sure do cry a lot. I can’t wait to see how they handle the next ass whoopin we hand them.

No one ever said Steelers fans were smart
Case in point:
I was in Pittsburgh on Superbowl night, heading to Punxatawny for Groundhog day, was downtown the night before the game and of course the town is celebrating and everyone is decked out black and gold. I pass two steelers fans chanting, one goes: “Go Steelahs! F*** the Eagles!”
Didn’t even know who they were playing the next night! I just laughed in the guys face and then proceeded to chant F the Eagles all night.
Classic.

I like the quote from Lendale White, though.
“They came into the Titans arena waving those ugly yellow flags, and I stomped on one,” White said. “If they wave it again, I’m going to stomp on another one. I’m the Terrible Towel Stomper forever. If people don’t like it on this team or anywhere else, whatever. I don’t think a towel stomp makes you play more hard or less hard.”
This guy never holds back. Sometimes he’s funny, other times he just annoys me. Surprisingly there’s insight in this one though… Stomping towels or any other similar act definitely does not have any affect on the outcome of a game. However, it can add some fuel to a fire and honestly, I don’t think the opening game hype would be the same without it.
Sure, the Titans beat the Steelers and as a Steelers fan it sucked for me but they really didn’t need to win that game and look where they ended up even after the lost. (#6). As fans, we always show up on game day and cheer on our team on and no doubt we are gonna do that on September 10th. But I’m just saying, the “Towel Incident” in Tennessee is going to bring out a lot more of that cheer in this game and add that extra fuel. So really, we all should be thanking Bulluck.

god knows
you guys could use some extra fuel when the titans come around, cuz that was an utter mismatch last year. AND, you guys are offering your same crappy o-line contract extensions!! thanks in advance for that one. worthlessberger is probably looking into extra life insurance policies as we speak. promise to come back after getting it handed to you in week 1, k?

Really?
I’m not gonna go back and fourth with you like the convos above, but our offensive line consists of guys that have two recent super bowl rings. Say what u want about em, that fact remains the same. Besides that, I don’t see how you can call that game a mismatch. It was played well on both sides. I’m looking forward to the game this year.
