SB Nation Turns 200 blogs old

With the addition of the Arkansas Razorbacks blog, Arkansas Expats, SB Nation officially has 200 blogs. This is quite a remarkable feat, since it all started with one blog, Athletics Nation, on September 20, 2004.

MCM was the fifteenth NFL blog to be added to SB Nation

The first ever Music City Miracles game day open thread had 2 comments. One by a Bedazzlers fan, and one by Jimmy. The latest MCM game day open thread had 1,452 comments.

There has been only one recommended fanpost in the history of MCM

The most commented fanpost ever was about the Terrible Towel

Jimmy has been on TV for MCM once.

The first Morning Links by August was the Gun Charges and Cheerleaders edition

DonFrancisco had the first ever comment on MCM.

Music City Miracles is the first place that the nicknames Crazy Legs and Bedazzlers were used. (others?)

The first Titans win while MCM existed was against the Redskins...three weeks after the site was launched..

MCM was around when the Titans losing streak from December 11, 2005 to October 15, 2006 ended, and when the Titans winning streak from December 16, 2007 to November 23, 2008 ended.

That first year was pretty interesting

I am pretty sure for the first season I blogged the only people that read this blog were DonFrancisco, who has been a friend of mine since junior high, my dad, and Texas fans because of VY.

It is amazing how much steam this thing has picked up over the nearly 3 years it has been around. Here’s is to hoping we are all celebrating a Super Bowl Championship in a few months.

A dolphins fan...

led me here. No joke. Sports sites are blocked by our filters at work, but for some reason blogging sites are not. He asked me one day if SB Nation had a blog dedicated to the Titans and explained to me that he used the Phinsider blog to keep up with his football news here at work. So I went to their site and used it to find this site.

Now I am addicted and really don’t look anywhere else. I am confidant that if it is worth knowing I will either find a fanpost or a “morning link” pointing me in the right direction. Plus MCM has a great bunch of posters with realistic views of our team. Just because a player wears a two toned blue jersey doesn’t make them perfect and you all do an excellent job of laying the criticism and praise exactly where it needs to be.
