Tennessee Titans Morning Links: The Miami Sound Machine Is Not Going To Take This Lying Down Edition
Tony Brown may be shifting to the right side of the line and filling big Albert's old position, The impetus for the move seems to be that Jones and Haye are both more comfortable on the left side.
Also, Jim Wyatt has this note in that same story, which may interest some locals:
Extras needed: ESPN needs extras to appear in a Monday Night Football video with Hank Williams Jr., and Gloria Estefan. It will be shot Monday and Tuesday at the Parthenon in Centennial Park. On Monday, 250 extras are needed for an interior scene to be shot between 2 and 8 p.m. On Tuesday 500 extras are needed for an exterior scene to be shot between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. Start times are the check-in times.
Extras must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license or identification, and must wear club/concert attire or an NFL jersey and pants. No other logos will be allowed.
The video is scheduled to debut on the regular-season premiere of MNF on Sept. 14.
Gloria Estefan? Way to play to your fanbase, NFL.
Vince Young talks about why he's been so talkative lately.
Keith Bulluck reminded Terry McCormick that VY is still respected in the Titans' locker room, both as a player and a friend.
Paul Kuharsky gets all teary-eyed visiting the building which used to serve as the Oilers' headquarters.
DeMarcus Faggins has never played for a playoff team, and he's looking forward to changing that this year.
It's looking like J.P. Losman, who wasn't re-signd by the Bills, could be the first notable addition to the up-start UFL. The league is hoping to add former NFL back-ups and college star Ken Dorsey as well.
Now that the slower period of the off-season is upon us your help in finding out of the way Titans stories is more important than ever. Chris Davis was impressive yesterday?!
“His work last year has carried over,” Fisher said. " … He’s working hard and trying to get on the field."
Kerry Collins remarked that "the light has come on" for Davis.

I'm always dubious
of physically talented guys like Davis in OTAs: they look good practicing in shorts and helmets, but disappear when the pads are on. Hopefully it carries over though. The more quality depth at WR the merrier for sure.

That's exactly right.
It’s all useless if he can’t get off the jam, and so far that’s been the biggest problem for these guys.

If Chris Davis is impressing the coaching staff
Then that means that Paul Williams is done here and will be cut. I think Davis could end up being a solid slot reciever, I remember he always used to fumble the ball though.

Any league with JP Losman and Ken Dorsey is on it's way
Sign me up. If they can maybe lure Alex Smith away and pick up Ryan Leaf once he’s put of jail I am totally on board. Alex Mortensen wouldn’t be a bad addition either. THis league is gonna rock!

Why do we need a NY team in the UFL?
Isn’t the UFL for markets with NO current team? Orlando and Los Angeles are both obvious choices. So is Las Vegas.
I guess NY is too big a market to ignore, but still, it seems like a NY team has a good chance of getting lost in the shuffle here. They could AT LEAST site the team in Brooklyn or something to give it some flavor.
Personally, I want a UFL team in Stamford, CT or someplace. Then I could go see a game, and it wouldn’t be a complete pain in the ass. Right now, the best we can reasonably do is the (not overly impressive) local high school.

A second rate league
that doesn’t realize it should focus on it’s own identity instead of being a trashy imitation of it’s big brother?
Sounds perfect for New Jersey!

The Newark Syndicate?
That’s gotta be either a newspaper of a football team, right? Or I suppose they could just call it Bada-Bing’s Ballers!
