Tennessee Titans Morning Links: Nick Harper Can Finally See This Edition
Terry McCromick has a great interview with Chuck Cecil about the tall order he has taking over what is already one of the league's top units. I'm still interested to see how the defense reacts to more blitzes and man-to-man coverages.
The Titans are keeping a watchful eye on the league's investigation into tampering charges against the Redskins, but they aren't pushing the investigation and they aren't expecting to get anything back, it appears.
Nick Harper probably would have had more INTs last year if he hadn't been playing about half blind... he had off-season LASIK surgery to correct his vision.
Since Matt Jones won't be suspended, would it be worth the Titans' time to sign him up? I'd rather see us get him over a broken-down Drew Bennett.
MJD at Shutdown Corner lists the 5 best NFL color commentators, and I'd have to say I agree with his list almost 100% (I'd replace Billick with Phil Simms).
Now that the slower period of the off-season is upon us your help in finding out of the way Titans stories is more important than ever. If you have a link you'd like to submit for tomorrow's Morning Links email me at mcmaugustwest@gmail.com!

Re: Matt Jones
I really hope you weren’t serious. Do we really need any more idiots on this team?

I agree...
I think he’d be much better than Drew Bennett. It’ll be a cheap contract, and if he screws up we just cut him, no harm done. He might sniff the 40 yard line once or twice, but a little pr spin and that’ll wash right over.

No, no way, un-uh, forget it
No Matt Jones, No Drew Bennett – we’re set at wide-out, there are other positions that need to be addressed

I feel better about the WR situation than I have in any prior offseason.

I do as well
but lets not get to comfortable with a rookie and somebody else’s no. 3 guy. I fully expect them to add one more veteran WR for camp if nothing else.
