You have GOT to be kidding me...
Check out Pat Kirwan's initial power rankings, notice you have to scroll through 9 other teams before you get to Tennessee at number 10. While a good case can be made to put some of these teams ahead of Tennessee, there is no way in hell we should be at 10. Ranking teams like the Colts, Falcons, and Chargers ahead of the Titans is just ridiculous.
All things being equal though, Fisher and crew seem to relish the role of underdog, so maybe another year sliding under the radar wouldn't be such a bad thing...

all most of these "experts" know is headlines
so all they know about the titans is we lost the best player on our defense, maybe our whole team, so how could be not drop off some? that is the only logic at play here.

They equate Haynesworth with the defense
Until we prove that we can be a dominate defense without Haynesworth, a lower ranking makes sense.
We also haven’t proved that we can score from anywhere on the field with our passing game.

Respectfully Disagree
We beat Pitt without KVH and big Al…..like a bongo drum. that answers the D-Line as far as I’m concerned.
We couldnt score last year with the pass and still went 13-3….
FYI i love the podcasts

Pitt had one of the worst o-lines in the league...
and were coming off an emotional win vs. the ravens while the titans were coming off a loss to the texans. KVH is overrated and will be exposed without haynesworth. jason jones could be very solid but don’t annoint him as the second coming because he railed the steelers porous offensive line.

So is he the 2nd best dtackle in the league?
Cause he got to Rothelidsigadljeoiberger more than anyone else this season.

No
i’m just saying that using the Pitt game as an example to justify that the titans D-line wlll not miss a beat is foolish AT BEST. proves nothing.

They could put us in last place for all I care
These power rankings mean nothing. Just look at last year’s.
Go Titans!

absolutely
I am surprised that these analysts are even willing to put their name on something like this considering how inaccurate it is.

power rankings now are like mock drafts a year in advance
I’m pretty sure we won, what many would call our biggest game of the year ( steelers), last year without Albert or KVB. We didn’t just squeak by either, it was domination at it’s finest. In AH’s first 5 years he was always a guy with a ton of potential…it wasn’t until money time that he stepped up his game. Haynesworth was very good when he wanted to be and when he was healthy, but he’s not a superhero like the media wants to make him out to be. I think Coach Washburn will have his guys ready and we won’t miss the 100 billion dollar man at all. It will be kind of nice NOT seeing him pull up limp after every single play.

And I just realized...
If the Dolphins want to win the division again all they need to do is pay a player under the table to take a cheap hit at Tom Brady’s reconstructed knee. Pats went from a perfect regular season to not even making the playoffs, that’s weak. Same thing happened to the Titans last year and they went 13-3. And no I’m not comparing Tom Brady to Vince Young, but the entire play of the Pats suffered without Stetson man on the field. The media will be S-ing New Englands D-ck for a long time though.

You know why they have power rankings every week, right?
Because its an after-the-f’in-fact reporting tool.
Its just a “This is how good these teams did recently” kind of thing basically.
Not a prediction tool.

you will be around 10 until you do something
until the titans make a push deep into the playoffs, they will be ranked around 10 in the power rankings. the titans are a solid team, but they won’t be viewed as a legit year in and year out contender until they do something in the playoffs.
