Yet another Anquan Boldin post...
...Sorry, just sorry.
FYI - ESPN here in Chicago has whispered today, April 29th, that Boldin-to-Tennessee is apparently not dead.
Also, I do not have ESPN Insider, but on the front page of ESPN.com is an update - dated today - suggesting that Anquan Boldin's new QB in 2009 will be Kerry Collins. Anyone with Insider can read this link.
That's all - Perhaps there's nothing to it all, but it was something I could not let go unposted.
Anyone who can post any of the aforementioned stuff, please do.
Again, sorry!

I still
would love to have him, but he will be too expensive, obviously..

Not really.
Paying WRs is not their cup-of-tea, yes. But if, say, 3,000,000-plus were shaved as part of the deal (Scaife), and maybe a little bit of trimming elsewhere (Gage), the net salary bump wouldn’t be very painful.
I’ll still dream about it. LOL

I saw that headline and clicked on it immedialtely
its says nothin about the Titans
Boldin heading north?
Anquan Boldin | Cardinals | Interested: 49ers? Titans? Eagles? Giants? Ravens?
As a seemingly benign comment at the end of his profile on San Francisco 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan, Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports included the following quote from the GM: “Now, with the second first-rounder next year, I’m thinking, ‘Can we trade for somebody? Should we investigate this stuff that’s out there about the Cardinals moving Boldin? Even though this is supposed to be a slower period, my thoughts are dominated by, ‘How do we improve this roster?’”
While mouthfuls of coffee are being sprayed all over computer monitors in the Phoenix area this morning based on the prospect of an intradivision trade for the Arizona Cardinals’ prize bait, it’s an almost total impossibility. During prior periods of speculation on which team would be trading for Anquan Boldin, some in the media brought up the fact that the Cards wouldn’t want to have to face Boldin in the playoffs if he were traded to the New York Giants or Philadelphia Eagles. Good point, and by the same logic, it’s certain that they wouldn’t want to have to face him twice a season as a member of the 49ers.
In addition, the 49ers may have gotten a great steal by landing Michael Crabtree with the 10th overall pick on Saturday, but their quarterback situation is still in relative shambles. Does it make more sense to add another star receiver to the team or to use that extra first-round pick in 2010 to coax a team out of a solid veteran quarterback? While the Niners may elect to make some sort of trade involving the extra pick before the 2009 season begins, the odds against that trade involving Boldin are very high.
-and a rumor post from yesterday (which also has nothin to do w/ tha Titans):
Holding pattern on Boldin
Anquan Boldin | Cardinals | Interested: Titans? Eagles? Giants? Ravens?
After merely lukewarm interest was generated when the Arizona Cardinals indicated that they would listen to offers for receiver Anquan Boldin before the draft, it appears now that Cardinals management will use this as ammunition in continuing to deny Boldin a lucrative contract extension, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.
In all fairness, the Cardinals are on the right side of the law when it comes to this dispute: Boldin did sign the original deal and it’s only fair to live up to its term. On the other hand, Boldin has emerged as a Pro Bowler and also earned bonus toughness points in 2008 by returning to game action just four weeks after suffering facial fractures. Furthermore, the going rate for a Pro Bowl receiver, as per Somers, is the $8-10 million range, and Boldin earned just $4 million in 2008.
Unfortunately for Boldin and agent Drew Rosenhaus, it appears that Arizona’s management holds all the cards right now. The Cardinals weren’t going to take a lowball offer for Boldin over the weekend, and now they have reason to believe that they were right in doing so. Boldin’s on-field performance will likely be unaffected by the off-field squabbles in 2009 — he was similarly disgruntled before 2008 and had a great campaign nonetheless — but the rumors will be swirling around his name until this situation is resolved with a trade or renegotiated contract. You can certainly expect some renewed chatter if some of the draft picks at wide receiver don’t pan out for the teams that were rumored to be in the Boldin mix.

I dont know how u can headline a story w/ someone’s name in it and not even talk about that person but ESPN pulled it off. apperently “Boldin to Kerry Collins” means tha 49ers are interested in Boldin

Doesn't explain...
…the radio comments, though.
Perhaps they’re re-editing the link at ESPN.com now, maybe, of the Boldin/Collins story?

It's really bad...

But that’s what it’s coming to, for me.

I agree that its over
We drafted a young WR in the first round and paid a free agent good money already. We aren’t a passing team so I think paying all the money to Boldin would be a waste. This trade was killed when we drafted Kenny Britt, and especially when we traded away next years second round pick.
