I was really excited about getting Beanie when they showed him on screen

A big, strong West Coast receiver in a similar mold as Terrell Owens and Brandon Marshall

Back to square one.
Now we need to draft nine defensive players (or a Center somewhere), and search the waiver wires for gobs of defensive players after June 1st.
Gotta field a memorable defense, absolutely one for the ages. It’s the only real shot at a Title now.

As I said, I watch a LOT of Big East game, and Rutgers was a flavor-of-the-month for a while. Never saw anything special out of this guy, and never heard anyone talking about him as a prime pick. His highlight reel consists primarily of catching wiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open passes against nobodies. Some decent blocking, but nothing we couldn’t have gotten two rounds later.

He led all of college in several categories. Griffin was a defensive MVP type on a World Champion.

if I recall correctly
just about everyone crushed tha CJ pick for multiple reasons; u coulda got him in tha 2nd round, they already had RB’s, they had bigger needs, etc. and i dont remember to many people bein fans of tha Griffin pick either. I’m not a huge fan of tha Britt pick but we should at least see how he does before we start crushin tha front office for tha move. I think they’ve earned it

Butler was probably the best player based on the specific needs of this team and proven ability to evaluate talent at those positions.

I am sure that they talked with ’Zona but you also have to deal with the agent. Boldin is a top shelf receiver but also a bit full of himself. Wanted way too much money guarenteed money for his age. Plus he benefited from Fitzgerald being on the other side.
